Vehicle Detail

Built this bike from gathered parts. The engine is a 1965, the frame is a 1972. The engine was rebuilt in 1974 (bored .20 over with new pistons/rings, head machined & new valves, Barnett clutch). As of today the bike has less than 2,000 new miles on it since it was rebuilt. The "theme" is "today's Roman chariot", (we've all been to the city). All welds are smoothed, and the only frame part changed was under the seat. The seat was made by Midwest custom bike designer "Ron Finch", the rest of the frame is all stock. The gas tank was brand new when I bought it (no damage). I discarded the battery for a capacitor system. All electrics work when the engine is running. No keys for ignition or lights, they work from toggle switch combinations. I did all the custom work including figuring out a center stand with the TT pipes (the pipes have inserts). The speedometer head mileage is not applicable to the history, as it was from another bike. The exhaust cooling fins are from Bob Lipan (Bonneville record holder), and custom fit. New oil in engine, clutch and transmission. The title is clear and was registered as a 1975 assembled, re-issued on 09/02/98. This is a strong on/off road bike. No leaks. It came out of storage in 1997 and I added new carburetors and a "Honda" ignition system and rode it for the summer, then back into storage. Last year I restored the inside of the tank with the POR-15 system, two new carbs, and I ran it around. After this winters storage, runs great. The chrome is not show quality after all these years, and there are some issues here and there. This is a "solid rider" bike to use and have fun with. Have lots of memories with this one, and it's time for someone to adopt it from here. I'm three years retired, I have two bikes, and this one needs to go a good home for exercise. No free test rides before completion of sale, if it doesn't run strong in all 4 gears up and down this street, you get all your money back. This is a great "on-off road" ride. This is listed locally, and I reserve the right to pull if someone around here buys it before the last 24 hrs. on auction. Transportation from here is up to the buyer. The buyer can ride it away, or I will help load into truck or trailer, try HAUL BIKES? The bike presently has no insurance or plate. Deposit $500.00 through Paypal at end of auction. Cash balance due at pick up. See pictures (and I have more). The sale will be "as-is, where-is" and there are no representations (other than above) or warranties. I'm trying to be as honest as I can - any questions please ask. I am usually out during the day, but will get back to any emails within 24 hrs.
