This is an Dodge 4x4 SLT extended cab 2500, automatic, 3.54 gears, power windows, locks, and mirrors with full replacement Ranch Hand Bumpers front and rear, 59,000ish miles, 12 valve untouched motor, near perfect interior. This was never a work truck, the interior and the ride tells the story. This has always been a Texas truck. The truck was purchased by a local family and given to the local volunteer fire department shortly thereafter. The FD decided the truck was too nice to use in the field, therefore, the truck was used as the chief’s command vehicle. It has been in the fire station or garaged since new minus the last 2 months. I searched long and hard for a super low mileage 12 valve to replace another 12 valve I owned a couple years ago. The exterior of the truck is not perfect but in very good shape. Unlike 95% of the old Dodges out there, the truck’s paint shines and there is no sign of the typical fading or clear-coat peeling. There is a full replacement Ranch Hand front bumper with a receiver as well as a Ranch Hand rear bumper with a custom receiver installed. There appears to have been a gooseneck hitch mounted in the bed long ago but it is long gone. Note - Someone decided they needed my tailgate worse then I last week while in Dallas so there is no tailgate though I am hopefully purchasing an excellent replacement this weekend. There are aluminum bed caps on the bedsides; the caps’ black paint is fading/flaking off the aluminum caps. These could be easily repainted. There are step/nerf running boards. There is a small “bump” at the rear of the cab near the rubber bottom accent and a small dent in the hood, not sure either will show in photos. There is no rust on this vehicle; it has been a Texas truck from day one. Of course, there is surface rust on drive train parts but the undercarriage/frame is very clean. This is a Texas truck for life. There are a few holes that were siliconed under the roof rail. NOTE – The Ranch Hand toolbox does NOT convey with the sale of the truck. It was on my last truck and I will use it again. The SLT interior has power windows, locks, mirrors and cruise. The front seats both had seat covers from day one so the seats look almost new. Everything works, as it should, cold a/c, hot heat, radio, cruise control, etc…minus an intermittent fuel gauge. The carpet is in good condition, no holes, tears, nasty dark stains, etc…. The truck has never been smoked in. If the interior got a good cleaning/carpet shampooing or detailed it would look close new. There are a several small holes on the lower dash area were a radio and mike were likely installed, see pics. There is a 3/8”cut in the headliner towards the middle rear of the cab. It’s no very noticeable. I have not seen a cleaner interior on a 12 valve in 10 years. There are NO cracks in the center of the dash like so many 12 valves. I believe this is the case because it has a cloth/velour dash cover. Mechanically, the truck runs perfectly. The 12v motor is the most dependable diesel and likely the one of the most efficient. The truck steers perfectly, no Dodge steering “walking”. No pulling or shaking. The transmission shifts smoothly as it should. The four-wheel drive engages perfectly. The transfer case was completely rebuilt 2 years ago. There are no leaks, none. I recently had ALL the fluids changed except for the front differential as the fluid looks new. A new serpentine belt was also installed. The tires were completely shot when I got the truck. I had a decent set of 305/70/16 Toyo A/T’s on the same original Dodge rims so I replaced the old tires/rims the day I got the truck. 2 tires are at 60%+ and the others are less than that (I just rotated the worn to the front after a 2900 miles trip). If I was to keeping the truck I would be replacing the tires in the near future but I would also be okay taking it to Maine and back tomorrow. I’m particular about tires and know others are as well so I’ll let the new owner decide what, when, which brand they want. I just took this truck 2900 miles in 3 days from Austin to Oklahoma to north of Phoenix, Arizona. The truck ran perfectly and I averaged nearly 20 mpg and that’s at West Texas speeds. After looking a long time to replace a 12 valve I had to sell, I bought this truck with the intention of keeping it for a very long time, hence the maintenance, change of tires, and toolbox install. It’s not perfect but I believe you would be hard pressed to find another in this condition with this few miles. Why am I selling? First off, it’s a third vehicle so we are selling 2 of our vehicles so I can a buddy’s newer Dodge Laramie crew cab. My wife drove/rode in it and loved the A/C’d seats, navigation, backup camera, etc… The new gets about half the fuel mileage of the 12 valve but she likes the creature comforts of the newer truck. Yes, big bummer. This is a really clean super low mileage 12 valve; it’s ready to go on another 3000-mile trip tomorrow. I have tried to be as descriptive as possible; this is a 17-year-old truck so every imperfection cannot be described. The vehicle has some paint chips and other minor dings but nothing major not described. I have a clean Texas title in hand and it’s currently inspected as well. Truck is in Austin, Texas. You can fly in if need be and drive it home anywhere in the USA, Alaska or wherever. As with all used vehicles, this age, there is no warranty express or implied and the vehicle is being so as is. $500 down payment is due immediately after the auction. The remaining sum is due with 3 days of the auction via certified/confirmed funds before vehicle will be released unless other arrangements are made. I have perfect feedback and sold my last 12 valve Dodge on EBay. I have tried to accurately describe this very low mileage truck. I will likely have the oil changed one last time before the vehicle is picked up. Please note, the toolbox will be removed as well as the small LED light-bar on front bumper. On May-07-14 at 10:08:16 PDT, seller added the following information: NOTE: I HAVE PURCHASED A WHITE ORIGINAL TAILGATE IN GOOD CONDITION FOR THE TRUCK. It's not a cheap reproduction. I may not have it until Friday but it is included with the sale. ALSO, to answer a question: Thanks to another ebayer, he sent this link for the quick cheap fix on the fuel gauge.Ebay does not allow clickable links but the fix can be found on the dodgeram.org forum As stated, the fuel gauge works does occasionally but I use the odometer.
