****** PRICE REDUCED ****** This is a FANTASTIC car, EVERYTHING is CORRECT-----Why buy a standard TA when you can own a TRUE limited production Collector car for LESS1978 Pontiac Macho Trans Am # 114, "This is a well-documented matching numbers car with only 114,000 original miles. Color combo is Silver with Black accents and interior. Options include L78/W72 Preformance Pkg.,WS6, PS, PB, AC, PW, PL, PT. Cruise, Pulse wipers,Rear defrost, Tilt, Deluxe velour interior, Courtesy light group,Fisher t-tops & 3.23 Posi Trac rear end. Documented with Original, build sheet & copy of Original Title as well as DKM documents, Car still has its original DKM steering wheel, shaker, console plate & Hooker decal on the air filter & origianl space svr tire & cannister. This car is unusual as it is one of only a couple (2 known) in the Silver/Black color combination in '78, also rare are the fisher T-Tops as Mecham preferred a hardtop car Engine in this car is the numbers matching original engine as installed by Pontiac and appears to have never been out or apart. Other matching parts include the carb, distributor, etc... Car runs great, has good power, trans shifts crisp and firm, car drives well. This cars runs and drives as Dennis Mecham intended, it spins tires at will and car runs easily up to speed as a performance car should. This is a VERY nice driving car there are not rattles or squeeks, car feels like a car that 14,000 miles rather the 114.000. The interior is mostly original with only the carpet, headliner, & door panels replaced. This car has been driven less then 200 miles in the last 6 years. This does not seem to be an issue as the car is a blast to drive. I have a NEW in the box set of coated Hooker headers & the original H-Pipe. This car has had 1 repaint in it's life and has NEVER had any rust any where. There is absolutely no evidence of this car ever being hit or damaged in anyway. This car has had a electronice mil gauge (measures material thickness from the metal to top coat of paint) and there is no place on this car that it measures more then 6 mils. This in itself proves that there is no filler or hidden suprizes under the exteremly nice paint. This car has a period correct Pioneer AM/FM Cassette Stereo with EQ that works as it should. Macho TA's are the only 70's version of the now famous dealer tuner cars of the 60's, Yenko, Berger, Baldwin Motion, Nicki, Royal Bobcat, Mr Norm, ect. 26 built in 77 202 built in 78 96 built in 79 There were a few after the fact cars built that were not sold by mecham, they were customer cars done after the end of the production year. Examples are 78 # 203, 78# 204, and 79 #206. 205 is out there somewhere, I am unsure if its a 78 or a 79, but it would seem to be a 79.
