Vehicle Detail
These cars were widely considered to be the least desirable generation Trans Am. Now that they are finally in demand, there aren't many decent ones left out there especially considering it was the lowest production (1500) of all the anniversary models. I bought this car from a collector in Arizona. He actually had two so I bought them both to negotiate a better deal and save on shipping. This particular car is very original as it has a well documented past and retains everything it left the a factory with. The paint is a good driver quality paint job. It has a few nicks scratches and blemishes but you can see from the pictures that it looks good and has a good glossy shine to it. The hood was recently repainted and is a slightly different shade than the other panels. When you put the decals on it, it should blend a lot better. The wheels are in very good original condition and it has a like new set of tires. The undercarriage is extremely clean. It 100% looks like this car has always had a spot in the garage. The seats very obviously need to be recovered. I have a roll of the factory seat fabric (extremely hard to find) and will provide the link. Other than the seats, the carpet, headliner, dash (couple cracks in the center) are in pretty good shape. The console is cracked where the console is so the console doesn't quite shut as it should. The motor runs and sounds great, and there are plenty of receipts for work that has been done to keep it running strong. The A/C components are all there but the air does not blow cold. I think one of the headlights is burned out but they go up and down fine. The transmission will need attention. It goes through all four gears but seems to pick them at strange times. It seems to slip when heavy throttle is applied, yet the engine runs awesome. When cruising down the road at 60-70 it seems to unlock and at times downshift even if no throttle is applied. Please ask questions and feel free to come see the car if you can. If you need a good solid 15th anniversary T/A for your collection, this one is a clean example and with not much work, you could have an awesome driver that would show great at your local cruise-ins!On May-03-14 at 07:29:40 PDT, seller added the following information: The item number for the seat material I am selling is 201082070789On May-03-14 at 07:36:04 PDT, seller added the following information: I also have a 25th Anniversary car for sale, it is item number - 201083799343 And I have a 30th Anniversary car for sale, it is item number - 201084151925On May-03-14 at 21:44:04 PDT, seller added the following information: I recently had a question concerning the originality of the paint job and feel as though my description could have been misleading to some. I stated the car had a "good driver quality paint job" I understand this could have been mistaken as thinking the factory paint job could have deteriorated to a driver quality paint job. I should have stated the car has had a paint job. If any of you bid on my car based on the assumption that the paint was the factory paint I am sorry and will gladly cancel your bid. If this is the case please send me a message.
