Here is a charming VW fastback that had been with the same female owner since new. It’s easy to tell the light touch because all the knobs and switches and functions are still working. The vehicle was pampered and appears to have one repaint. It’s pretty faded on the tops of the surfaces and it’s shinny on the sides. Under the hood and trunk are a thing of joy. It’s hard to image this stuff is so clean after all these years. My partner has been commuting to work in it and here in Berkeley California vintage Volkswagen are a crowd favorite. This model always looks better with a roof rack and surfboards. It starts very easily and the shifts are crisp and the steering is feather light. There is a little smoke on start up and maybe a good freeway run could clear that up. This is a car that any person of any age could enjoy. It is very easy to operate. The pick up is surprisingly good and the driving experience is pleasant. I like the shape of this one and it is an under appreciated model. The originality is outstanding and please ask any question you may have. This is an as is deal. Inspections need to be performed before the auctions close.
