Up for sale is this fully restored 1986 Ford Mustang 5.0 GT Convertible! This vehicle was a great, nice, 2nd owner vehicle that undergone a full restoration a couple years back. This is a rust-free vehicle that has a clean carfax and has never been in any accidents. The vehicle also just passed New York State inspection and is good till March 2015. The exterior of the vehicle is Metallic Black with red striping and the interior is done in black and grey leather. The color combination looks really nice and aggressive. The convertible top is also like brand new and was replaced last summer. The convertible top is also fully powered and works with just the push of a button. This vehicle is in nice shape and is ready for its new owner. The previous owner spent tons of money getting this vehicle to its current condition. The paint job on the exterior looks really nice and has held up well. The paint job could use a buffing in order to get it the that really great surface appearance. The exterior of the vehicle is free of any scratches or dings and there really isnt any blemishes for me to mention at all. This is some light clear coat chipping on the front bumper molding, but nothing major at all and that can be fixed easily.The interior of the vehicle was all re-done as well. The interior is leather and the seats and door panels are all done in the same grey/black pattern by a professional upholstery shop. The seats are perfect with no wear on them at all. The carpeting and other trims are perfect as you could want them to be. There is nothing letting the interior down at all. It looks the way it did when it rolled off the assembly line almost 30 years ago. I also have the original ford steering wheel for the vehicle, should you want to keep it original. There is a racing wood steering wheel on the vehicle right now but you will get both!This vehicle has 17 inch Saleen Chrome wheels with matching Falken tires all around. The previous owner also installed a custom Pioneer stereo with a remote controlled head unit CD player. There is tinted GTO tail light covers installed as well. They can be removed easily if you want.All the electrical features in the car are working 100%. These electrical features include the power windows, power locks, AC and heater, windshield wiper and washer, pioneer CD player with remote control, information-warning panel and clock, all the speakers, all the interior and external lights, dome lights, turn signals and indicators, power convertible top and motors and perfect, gauges are all working great, horn functions perfectly, and all the other options and equipment are functioning the way they should (see my video).Mechanically, this vehicle is running and driving with no leaks or any known issues at all. The engine starts right up and runs great, while the transmission shifts perfectly with no issues at all. The brakes all seem to be in good order and the cooling system is working perfectly. The vehicle runs and drives really solid and I would not be at all nervous about driving this vehicle long distances, as I have done numerous times. This is a really nice every-day driver. We just had the oil changed and the vehicle has a brand new battery installed as well.The previous owner spent such attention to detail in getting this vehicle correct as it was new. We have two sets of keys, the owners manuals, the original spare tire and jack, complete tool kit, and all the floor mats as well.
