It needs to go....yesterday.Many New Drivetrain Parts Prior Wisconsin State Police Highway Patrol Unit I purchased it 4 years ago and replaced many significant powertrain parts and used it as a daily driver until this Winter. The rear differential will need to be rebuilt or replaced. The vehicle does currently drive and the rear differential is the only known issue from being a reliable daily driver again, however the repair is mandatory. I've had the car parked since the middle of Winter with the intention of repairing the rear differential myself but I haven't had the time. Now I have 4 vehicles and just a 2 bay garage, so the wife says one of them has to go. I will miss it very much, as it has been very reliable, inexpensive, comfortable and fun to drive. The car demands respect on the road. Other drivers are always very courteous, nobody tailgates or cuts you off, it really makes for a stress-free driving experience whether it be a long trip on the highway or just to the grocery store. These are some of the repairs made including the new parts that total over $3000, the majority of the repairs were within the last few years and only with factory Motorcraft or quality aftermarket parts like Moog Transmission replaced at 115k miles with an extremely low mileage transmissionIntake manifold replaced at 145k milesMotorcraft power-steering rack&pinion assembly replaced at 160k miles Steering shaft replaced at 160k milesTie rod ends replaced at 160k milesSway bar end links replaced at 150k milesDriveshaft U-joints replaced at 150k milesFront wheel hubs replaced at 150k milesGabriel rear shocks replaced at 155k miles (New Gabriel front shocks go with the car when sold)Bosch 200a Alternator at 140k milesFront end alignment done 3-4 times a yearCurrently installed in the back seat is a Havis-Sheild brand 'Animal Insert' (MSRP $2400 new, installed 2 years ago, used for approx 8 years prior in another car.)The car also comes with the factory seat and door panels that came with the car. My dog loves his area in the back of the car, and it proved to be very convenient. The cage also provides a flat floor making it very roomy for transporting larger objects. The factory back seat, door panels and everything needed to go back to a factory is included. Currently mounted on the rims are General Altimax Arctic winter tires, they have been used for 2.5 winters and a phenomenal to say the least. With the factory limited slip rear end the car was unstoppable in any snow we see in CT. Summer tires also go with the car. I have a set of OEM police interceptor Eagle RSA's (Speed rating: V Treadwear: 340 Temperature: A Traction: A.) 2 of them are brand new with less than 1000 miles, 1 is only about a year old MSRP: $500 and 1 is a few years old and needs to be replaced soon. The rear differential gears are 3.27:1, giving you excellent gas mileage for a V8 especially on the highway. On road trips I usually get 23mpg at 75mph, and around town about 18mpg. The car is also equipped with a remote starter and alarm system. VERY convenient on really cold or really hot days. The only issues other than the rear end are minor and don't affect driveability: The HVAC blend door seems to be partially stuck, but still directs air where you select as well as the forward facing vents. The AC compressor shutters when it hasn't been used in a while, and there is a small leak at one of the o-rings. I filled the R-134a refrigerant twice last year and once the year before that. One of the exhaust pipe hangers broke leaving the pipe hanging, it's currently held up by wire.Exterior blemishes are noticeable up close only and there are dings, scratches and dents. The previous owner tried to repair his dents on his own but didn't do a fantastic job, luckily the imperfections are down low and not very large. When the car was driven daily I kept the exterior looking as best it could with polishing, buffing and waxing multiple times a year (as you can see from the pictures taken last summer it was very well taken care of). Currently the car hasn't been washed since the Winter and hasn't been polished up since before Winter. The first 15 pictures were taken last summer when it was still a daily driver, the remaining pictures of the car in the asphalt driveway are current pictures of the car and where it's been for the last few months. The car has a clear title and it's in hand. Delivery is possible, eBay has a list of recommended transportation companies you can hire. * The center console in the pictures and the aftermarket radio are not installed in the car nor included in the sale, the factory AM/FM head unit has been re-installed. Also the items in the trunk are not included.....neither is my dog!*
