Vehicle Detail
*Original flat head V8 motor, looks complete and I have not tried to start it. Infamous 'was running before parked' when I bought it . *Front brakes converted to disc breaks using speedways conversion kit. *Original I Beam leaf spring front suspension. *Rear end is out of a 1936 dodge short bus, just temporarily installed to get it rolling on all four wheels. *Wheels are made to just make the Vanette roll... *Side doors open up for easy access to the entire side as seen in the photos. *Barn door back doors. Side doors slide back. *Floors are original wood plank This Delivery van was used as a Bakery Van in Eastern Oregon. The body is in need of work, it's not perfect but workable. Plans were to put small block with automatic, air bag rear with Lincoln rear end making it four wheel disc breaks. However, too many projects and not enough time and dollars to do them all. Currently building a 1936 Dodge Short Bus that will be handicap accessible for my step son. This Van would make a really cool cruising delivery van for car shows, swap meets, business advertising, or just cruising down the boulevard. These delivery vans have a following and this one would turn heads wherever it goes. Please ask questions and I will answer them the best I can. He builds some amazing vintage step vans and looks like he does awesome work. If you need or want professional help with this build, let me know and I can get you in touch with him. I don't endorse him, but it does seem like he is passionate about these vintage step vans and some of his photos of his work certainly looks good!
