Up for Auction is this very nice 1989 Honda Gold Wing GL1500 touring motorcycle. Cosmetic Condition: This motorcycle is in fair cosmetic condition. It looks really good for a 25 year old bike, but it is still a 25 year old bike. There are only minor scuffs in the paint, particularly on the front of the side car. There are a few minor rust spots around the base of it, and the side car is missing its left side roof latch. The tires are in pretty good shape, there is a moderate amount of tread left on the tires on the motorcycle. The tire on the side car is flat. The interior of the side car is a bit rough, and it is covered in dog hair that stubbornly resists removal. Operating Condition: The motorcycle starts up properly, and runs pretty smoothly. The transmission cable does seem to be a bit loose. It took several tries to run through the gears sitting in the garage, and even then not all of the gears may have been hit, it was hard to tell. Occasionally the transmission would not want to go into first, but wiggling the lever until the gears started grinding slightly found 1st, and a similar thing happened trying to put it back in neutral. The suspension is good, the radio works fine, except the volume knob shorts every time it's moved. The driver/passenger radio and other electrical functions were not tested due to a lack of equipment.
