Vehicle Detail

1962 Chevy truck, short bed, fleetside. Clean title. True mileage unknown, but has had engine and tranny replaced at some point in the past, with a mid-80’s 350 small block. Starts, runs, and drives great. Chevy 350 V-8 with dual exhaust, Edelbrock 1406, 600cfm, 4 barrel carb, Holley Street Dominator aluminum intake, HEI distributor, Turbo hydramatic 3 speed automatic transmission, lots of power, no leaks, smoke or other issues with engine or transmission. Flywheel dust cover missing. Lights and gauges all work. Wood bed showing a little wear, with one hole in rear (see photo). Several body rust holes, on hood front and on floor pans (see photos), and on passenger cab corner, but no rust on frame. Some light rust spots on door bottoms. Driver's door panel slightly bent at lower, rear corner. Door stops need replaced, and are included, I just never got around to it. Paint is flaking and chipped in places, two shallow dents showing body filler on driver's door, from previous owner. Truck has been partially restored, but needs someone to take it the rest of the way. Would make a great Rat Rod, or a nice work truck. I have driven it once a month to the landfill, six miles away, and occasionally on highway road trips, for the last ten years, with no problems. Comes with new carpet kit, armrests, sill plates, door stops, heater switch & wiring harness, firewall pad, dome light, headlight switch, various weatherstripping, and new heater core that I never got around to installing. Comes with spare wheel/tire. Rear windshield is new, and front windshield has been recently re-mounted with new gasket. No water leaks. Autosound stereo with Aux in and under-seat speakers. Dash has not been cut. Has factory jack and tire tool mounted under seat. 4 new 235/75 15"tires, with less than 100 miles on them. Manual steering and brakes, and no seatbelts (optional in ’62). A little noisy at highway speed, but can run all day. No radiator shroud, so tends to overheat if left idling for long periods, but runs cool if moving. Never got around to finding a shroud, since I only made short trips. Like new bench seat cover. This truck has never given me any serious problems, and I hate to sell it, but have too many other vehicles and projects. No reserve. This truck will sell to some lucky buyer by week’s end. I have tried to show all flaws in pictures, and will answer any questions you have promptly. Selling through EBay only, not locally listed. Being sold as is, cash only. $500 deposit due through Paypal within 48 hours of auction close, remainder within 7 days. Fly in and drive it home, or you may arrange shipping, and I will help load truck. On Mar-23-14 at 10:08:43 PDT, seller added the following information: Please do not bid if you have zero or negative feedback, without contacting me first. On Mar-28-14 at 06:48:15 PDT, seller added the following information: Cash or Paypal transfer onlyOn Mar-28-14 at 14:33:16 PDT, seller added the following information: In response to a question, I scraped away at what I thought were some superficial rust spots on rocker panels, and found two small holes on driver's side, and one on passenger side. These each measure about 1 and 1/2" by 1/2".
