Vehicle Detail
'95 Chevy G30 1-Ton Van converted to 4wd when new by Quigley. 350 motor (previous owner claimed it was rebuilt but I have no documentation of that), Remanufactured 4L80E automatic transmission with Overdrive. Rochester TBI, 225,XXX miles. 33 Gallon tank. Runs and drives great. 2nd owner (originally a fleet vehicle for a plumbing and heating company in Western Colorado). Rust free. Power windows, power door locks, Tilt wheel. Engine heater. New starter, alternator and power steering pump. Front drive shaft rebuilt. New black steel wheels. New cat-back exhaust with Flo Pro muffler and Arvin Cat. Heavy duty home made steel bumper up front, made for a Chevy pickup so two of the mounts are not being used. 4 New Bilstein shocks. All new carpet throughout and everything behind the seats is new. New door seals and window sweeps. Recently converted to a camper with removable custom cabinets, a nice old working Norcold fridge (runs on 12V or 110), an electric 2-burner stove, a sink with electric pump. All electric appliances, no propane. Auxiliary battery with cut-off switch and 2300 watt inverter. Sliding black-out curtains. All new carpet with sound-deadening material throughout. Lots of interior lights. Electric fold-out bed/bench. New JVC Stereo with 4 new speakers. I will give an $800 discount off the final price if you don't want the 2 lower cabinets including the fridge, sink, stove and inverter. The upper cabinet and aux battery will stay with the van regardless. Clean title. I have the original window sticker, owner's manual and Quigley specs sheets. I only have the receipts of the work that I have done to it for the last 3 years, the previous owner didn't provide his receipts. All his mechanical work was done by his fleet mechanic. This van has been my daily driver and my project for the past 3 years. I would like it to go to someone who will finish what I started. Fixing the items in the paragraph below would make this an incredible van. ABS light comes on over 15mph due to malfunctioning abs sensor. Suspension is starting to sag and creak so a leaf-re-arching and new bushings would be necessary to fix those issues. Has leaf springs all the way around. Will need tires in about a year or so. Little touch-ups throughout like the rear curtains need to be sewn, the fold-out bench needs to be upholstered, the front armrests have tears, the A/C was working fine up until last summer. I refilled it but then it blew warm again so I figure there must be a leak in the system. The compressor is functioning. A new paint job would do wonders for this van, it has areas of paint rub and touch-up spots. The sliding door and rear doors were repainted with enamel. A few dings and dents here and there but nothing major. I'm sure I am forgetting some things, so if you have any questions, please ask. On Mar-23-14 at 00:17:17 PDT, seller added the following information: ****More info**** The bench folds up a bit tighter to the wall than what you see in the pic. It can also be removed altogether fairly easily. There are 4 pipe clamps that screw into the plywood underneath that hold the bed down. I'm sure a better bed/bench system could be designed if someone wanted a larger sleeping area. I left the area across from the bench open because I had planned to make another bench there and have the two connect. The bed when folded down is approx. 41"x70".On Mar-23-14 at 00:52:31 PDT, seller added the following information: Good questions. It passed emissions here in Idaho last year no problem. I have worked on and used it as a daily driver the entire time I owned it so I don't see a problem there. The 4x4 works perfect, I have used it many times in winter when the roads were bad. As for the mileage on the motor & tranny I honestly have no clue. I asked him for the receipts but he couldn't find them. The transmission has a tag on the top that says "GM Remanufactured Transmission Assembly" and it shifts very smooth. The motor runs good as long as you let it warm up, especially in winter. It may use a little bit of oil on longer trips, but nothing major. I drove it from Colorado to Oregon and back and it ran like a dream. No known mechanical issues except for the stuff I already mentioned. The top cabinet/shelf is built to the wall. The sink has two small bolts that go all the way through the floor. The kitchen unit is just screwed into the plywood with 4 small brackets. It stays put even when not screwed in. The sink unit has a front door that opens and has 2 water jugs inside (I forget the size, but they're plenty big), water is pumped out of the fresh tank and drains down into the grey tank. The grey tank can be pulled out by hand to empty. The fresh tank can be filled with a hose while it remains inside. There is a switch on the side of the unit that operates the pump.On Mar-23-14 at 17:59:22 PDT, seller added the following information: In response to an earlier question, the rear power door lock has been fixed.
