1956 Studebaker 1/2 Ton Transtar Deluxe pick-up truck with stake bed. This is a completely restored six-cylinder, manual transmission, garage kept vehicle in very good condition. The vehicle was completely restored in the 1980s and has very few miles put on it since the restoration and has been garage kept since restoration. The bed has been completely redone. Original spare tire mounted under the truck. Since obtaining the vehicle I recently rebuilt the carburetor, sealed the gas tank, and went through the brakes. This vehicle appeared on the cover of the December 1987 issue of Studebaker Driver Club Magazine. The owner of the vehicle at that time stated that the cover shot "is a picture of my 1956 Transtar Deluxe 1/2-ton with 23,195 miles on it. The truck went with a farm my brother bought in West Virginia from a friend of our father. The truck had not been run since 1971 when I towed it to Kentucky. The generator had been stolen while the vehicle was sitting in the barn. I had the truck running in less than one hour after getting home. The original spare tire is in place under the bed. This truck is a great pleasure to drive."
