Vehicle Detail

You are looking at my 1997 Pontiac Grand Am. This car passed inspection in NJ and is good through August 31, 2015. NJ emissions standards are among the toughest in the nation to pass so that is good news :) This is a solid mechanical vehicle that I poured a lot of new tender loving care into. This car had a worn out Transmission when I bought it. I put in a transmission that is even newer than the car! New trans is from a 2001 Grand Am that had only 18K miles of use on it so it will be a great ride for years to come! It was just installed in October, 2013 and runs fantastic! When you think of the value: think of the following repairs you won't have to make :) : 1. New Power Steering Pump assembly, line & new Rack & pinion ($975) 2. New Fuel Pump & assembly / lines ($588.00) 3. New Air Conditioner Compressor (AC just recharged and blows cold!!) ($925.00) 4. New Rear Brake job ($450.00) 5. Hand brake repair - re-cabling ($250.00) 6. New HP100 P195/70R14 tires (only 3500 miles of use) and wheel alignment ($375.00) (note: due for first rotation in about 4500 miles) 7. New Theft Code Module in Ignition Replaced and Reprogrammed! ($640.00) 8. New Air Intake Valve ($125.00) 9. New Transaxle Replacement, Front Sway Bar Links, Radiator Outlet & COOALT Temp Sensor ($2198.82) 10. Complete Tune up (Nov. 27, 2013), new ignition coil set & new BG Induction Service ($567.95) 11. New Muffler from Meinekee ($285.11) 12. New Tie Rod Ends (Sept 2013 $156.00) So when you add up all these improvements to the Vehicle you can see that it's more than I'm selling it for - BUT - these were all done between September 2013 and January 2014 - so this list of common fixes for an older car - you WILL NOT HAVE TO WORRY ABOUT :) Finally, the car looks great from a few feet back but when you get close, there are scratches on paint and some minor chipping that you would expect from a car this year. I was going to go to Maaco and get a new coat but that is something you can take on if it's important to you. It wasn't to me. Also if you look at the pics, there is a slight repair job on driver's side interior console that is minor - not a big deal but I wanted to point it out. Not pretty but not bad LOL. Also there is a slight rip in the backseat fabric, looks like previous owner may have left something "hot" in the back seat. Not a big tear and can be easily patched. I just wanted to point these imperfections out. I am available for questions any time. I have a 100% positive feedback rating so you can bid with confidence! Sold "as is" no warranty expressed or implied. Good luck, happy bidding and happy motoring!
