Vehicle Detail

I bought this car several years ago as a project. As such, THOUSANDS of dollars and HUNDREDS of hours were put in to make it "mine." I've either replaced or repaired the high-cost items, so my loss is your gain. Well, as usual, life gets in the way, and my daughter was born. Coupled with other interests, it's time for the car to find a new home. The car runs well, with lots of power, and is rust-free. 205,xxx miles. Compressions checked when I purchased it with 198,000 miles, all good numbers. As any Saab enthusiast will confirm, the engine is esentially bullet-proof. 5-speed manual transmission. Again, a very good design, and rarely prone to failure. Clutch is good. New master clutch cylinder. New Brake Accumulator. New convertible top installed. Motor works fine, goes up and down as advertised. New interior, which include seats, carpet, and parts of the door panels. SPG effects added, which include lower body panels (freshly painted), lowered springs, new shocks, 16" Aero wheels and new tires. New Altenator, Battery, thermostat, hose, spark plugs, ignition wires, and distributor cap. AC converted to 134, and new evaporator installed. New muffler. New Alpine stereo with kicker component speakers, iPod interface, two 12" subwoofers, and 2 amps (Rockford Fosgate, JVC). Frankly, a ridiculous amount of volume! New CV joint, driver side. Now it's time for the not-so-good. And as usual with these cars, the weak designs are starting to show. The body is straight, with the exception of a a small dent on the front of the hood. If I didn't mention it, you'd be hard pressed to see it in the pics. Heated seats inoperable. Cruise control works intermittently. Driver airbag deactivated. ABS inoperable. The brakes work fine, however the Anti-lock function doesn't. I believe it's one of the front brake abs sensors that either need to be cleaned or replaced. The dashboard is starting to crack in its usual place, about 3/4 inch long. (2 places.) Spare tire rubber is cracked and deteriorating, which is fairly common. CV joint is starting to go bad on passenger side. I believe for minimal costs, the car could be brought back to its former glory. If you're a Saab enthusiast, you'll truly appreciate the work that's been done.
