1972 Honda CB500. 7800 Original miles! This bike is in great cosmetic and mechanical shape. When I purchased this bike it was in great cosmetic condition, but the way it ran left something to be desired. To make it run as good as it looks I did the following: New battery. Oil and filter. New tires and tubes. New left side engine seals. New clutch. Rebuilt front master cylinder and front caliper. New front brake pads (rears were fine). New SS brake lines. New fork seals and fork oil. Fully disassembled, cleaned and synchronized the carburetors. New fuel lines. Adjusted valves, points and timing. New SS hex bolt kit. I have all the original parts including tires if the next Owner wants to put it back to stock. It comes with the original tool kit and Owner’s manual. The bike starts right up and rides and stops the way it should. The front brakes are better than original with the rebuilt master cylinder, caliper and SS lines. This bike is a great “rider” and I never fail to get compliments anywhere I go. It is not “museum” or “mint” condition but is very well preserved. There are a couple of small marks on the gas tank that I tried to show in the photos and a couple of other small marks here and there that would be expected from a 41 year old bike. The speedometer and tachometer still retain their green color and work perfectly. Side covers are not cracked and the gas tank has very minimal fading. The seat has a small ½” tear on the side and is missing the seat lock. The previous Owner had “creamed” the inside of the tank so rust is not an issue. This is a great bike which I’ve tried to represent as best I can. Check my feedback you’ll see I’m honest with my descriptions and dealings. Please email with any questions.
