Vehicle Detail
1972 Honda CB350F This bike belonged to my late husband. He bought it new in 1972 and lovingly enjoyed riding it for many years. Several years before he passed away he decided he could no longer ride it but also couldn't bear to part with it (and up until now, neither could I). But he took very good care of the bike and I'm told he stored it properly so all it should need is another round of TLC to get it running smoothly again. I've been assisted by a few good friends who are knowledgeable about motorcycles in helping me to prepare this listing. Here's the result of observations: This bike has loads of vintage charm! Now is the perfect time to bring this slightly-dusty gem into your workshop and spend a few hours on the weekends getting it ready for spring. It's few faults are superficial -- there's nothing structural or mechanical that should be beyond the serious hobbyist to do on their own. You'll be proud to ride it with only a minimal additional investment, but it's also a perfect candidate for complete restoration if you want to go that route. Mechanically, the bike appears to be very sound and in very nice condition. We weren't able to get it started but were very close. Everything turns over free and easy and the interior of the gas tank is rust free and in excellent shape, so it most likely just needs the carbs to be thoroughly cleaned and tuned. The original 4-into-4 exhaust has been replaced by an after market 4-into-2 which is in very good shape. Overall chrome, included fenders etc., has some patches of minor-to-moderate surface rust spotting but is surface only and should be able to be re-chromed if you want. In the meantime some naval jelly would make it so you'd have to look to notice it. Side panels and posts retain the original Candy Bacchus Olive paint, but the tank has been repainted blue. Seat leather is nice with no tears or abrasions, just 2 small indents (but not punctured) just behind the tank. Chrome trim around base of seat has a small dent on left side. Seat back and luggage rack are also nice and while not OEM were bought at time of original purchase. Front tire is flat. Rear tire looks good but the bike was stored for several years so that might need replacing too. I was advised to not replace, and let the buyer handle that according to their preference. Buyer will be responsible for shipping and shipping costs. There is a service nearby the Buffalo/Niagara airport which was highly recommended and I can assist the buyer with shipping thru them or the carrier of your choice. But buyer will be responsible for handling all the details. On Feb-01-14 at 10:04:33 PST, seller added the following information: I just tried to lower the price as a Honda enthusiast just told me the seat was not original. Since the auction is so close to ending it is not letting me edit the price. When I relist I will have a buy it now for $900. Thank you!
