0 false 18 pt 18 pt 0 0 false false false We are listing our very clean 2002 Honda Insight (First Generation) that has approximately 71,930 miles (see odometer picture). The body panels are very straight with some rock/debris chips, which is visible to the eye upon close inspection. This Insight has never been in an accident or had any touch-up done to the original factory finish. We are the original owners, purchased new in 2002 in Monrovia CA. The only major work done to the car since new was to have the IMA battery replaced by Honda, last done on 9-28-2010, when the car had 52,693 miles. The same Honda dealer we purchased the car from has performed all regular oil changes and service checks. The car is a joy to drive and as you can see in the pictures has averaged 45.1 MPG for the life of the car. We are confident this number would be higher if we did not live at the base of the foothills. At times we have seen average trip MPG calculations in the high 60’s. A Kenwood stereo replaces the original radio so you can connect your iPhone or iPod to the car. The original factory radio is also included with the car. All systems work, including the factory A/C that will keep the occupants cool on the hottest day. As you can see in the pictures the underside of the car is very clean thanks to the warm and dry climate the car has spent its entire existence in. Even the exhaust system is rust free and looks and performs like new despite being 12 years old now. The spare tire has never been used. The car is being sold as-is, where-is - the car is located in Southern California and buyer will assume all responsibility for pick-up and shipping. We can assist you in your efforts to have it shipped anywhere in the Continental US. Payment criteria is a $500.00 deposit upon winning the auction (within 2 days) via PayPal with the balance to be paid by certified bank check within 7 days following the deposit.
