This is original 1942 GPW jeep.Formerly a garage jeep from Norumbega Service Station Arlington, MA. Traced back to the original purchase and have pictures and documentation back to 1947.reason for selling…my mechanic removed head and manifold to do one valve spring and left it. It was a running jeep with no issues.I have all the parts a carb rebuild kit and new valves. The engine is GPW the head is a Willys….looks like a 1944 GPW engine.Data tags and frame match.I have sanded down to green some priming done has white star on hood and cowl and on rear. I found the blue numbers on hood but they are sanded down as there was 3 layers of paint.Seats repainted and rear seat present all F script.Have new canvas and top.All 5 tires new and combat rims redone and mounted.Have 1942 gas can and carrier new tire mount, and misc parts.Will need rear floor and there is a patch by riser on front floor.Have original data plates and new set from data plates for u.The riser and gas tank well are new as well as gas tank and serenading unit.The axe head area has been patched with proper repair kit.Steering wheel and gauges original and have new temp gauge.Jeep is well worth the price and currently picking away at it and priming bare metal areas etc.Have original world war 2 glass for wind shield….. New battery tray and misc parts from Ron Fitzpatrick and Beechwood canvas…jeep is 95 per cent original……. This is a project jeep….but a nice honest 1942. You will need a head gasket and valve gasket and a new set of plugs and wires. Original 6 volt and all electrical there.Have a carb rebuild kit but it was fine….but have it The jeep can be finished painted and be perfectly presentable and 95 percent original……..or you can remove tub which would make it care show quality and 100 per cent original.
