Up for your bidding is a 2000 Jaguar XJ8. As evidenced in the pictures it is a beautiful car. I drove this car for three years as a daily driver, but have moved to a location requiring my purchase of a four wheel drive vehicle. I hate to see this car go, but I need the room in my garage and as explained in the condition section it does need some work.I will start with the good... The engine and transmission run like the day that I bought it. The interior and exterior are very nice for its age and it's drives very nicely. There are no fluid leaks at all on the car. The brake pads and rotors were replaced about 15,000 miles ago and still have plenty of life in them. All oil changes and fluid changes have been done at the recommended intervals. The belts were replaced at 80,000 miles. This car is very clean!And here is the bad... the car failed its inspection this past year for the following reasons. The 2 rear mufflers( it has five mufflers) both had a hole in them and need to be replaced. I have already removed them. With the rear mufflers removed it still runs quieter than most cars. There are several after market exhausts that I have found online as well as the original Jaguar OEM exhaust which is readily available. Both of the glass on the side mirrors will need replaced as the one is cracked and the other is fogged. This fix will easily cost less than $100 for new glass to be installed.The car has been well maintained, runs strong(290 HP!), and with the above mentioned repairs will be a great car for a daily driver or collector. I hate to see it go, but I need the room.
