Rebuilt, Rebuildable & Reconstructed

This classic Honda Elsinore was restored approx. 15 years ago and has been sitting unstarted till today. I finally added fuel and after freeing up the needle in the carb, it started on the 4th kick. The engine was totally rebuilt with all new bearings, top end, clutch basket, plates, springs, gaskits etc. It runs and idles perfect with no abnormal noises, clutch has no drag, shifts perfect, just like you would expect a new Honda would. No issues. I rode up and down the street a few times and was reminded why everybody wanted one of these, years ago. Close ratio gearbox, strong crisp powerband and that wonderful 2 stroke smell. All body work was professionally painted with new decals and really looks great. New chrome on kickstarter, OEM handlebars, fork pinch bolts. All hardware has been zinc plated. The frame has been professionally painted. Pipe has been repaired and still has the original oem pickle silencer. New seat cover with Honda stencilled on the rear, foam is new. Has the stock levers, lever covers, grips, kill button and new cables. Also has the rare front downtube splash shield. Wheels have been rebuilt with the original DID rims, new spokes and nipples, new Dunlop D756 tires. Hubs have been professionally painted. Has a new Sprocket Speciality 49 tooth rear sprocket with a new RK428 chain. All rubber has been replaced and is crack free, front mudflap, air boot, intake manifold, fork wipers. Side stand is still there. The negatives are: Since it's been stored for 15 years (indoors), the crankcase cover's and pipe's paint has wrinkled, some corrosion on a few of the nuts and bolts, very small scratches on the front of the tank that would rub out. Needs the stock rubber band for the front number plate, has a very small crack on the front number plate, and it needs some touching up, and polishing. Comes with a Bill of Sale, no title. I do have the bike advertised locally and reserve the right to end auction locally.
