The bike has a large dent on the left hand side of the gas tank, there a several other small scratches on the bike. The bike has new tires & a new windshield, good tires, low mileage for the age of bike.The bike Runs good. I purchased this through a friend who no longer rides, he has rode the bike on a regular bases. I just don't have the time to ride it and don't want to let it sit.Sold as is with no gurantees or warrentees. I went online and tried to do some research on this motorcycle and this is what i could find The 850cc versions of the GSX750E was available only with a shaft drive and were called GS850G. Suzuki didn't really have anything for the avid touring until the introduction of the GS850G.At it's heart was a bored out GS750 motor, altered to incorporate shaft drive.The engine was placed in a modified GS1000 frame, suspension from the GS1000 was softened up for a plush ride(the GS1000 had gas suspension at the front ,the GS850 had hydraulic suspension ) and tubeless tires were used for the first time by suzuki.A large 22. litter (5.8 us gallon tank was fitted for maximum range.The GS850 actually weighed more then the GS1000E, by 29 lbs.Later suzuki produced a couple of variations on the theme most popular was the custom styled (GL) model which was restyled in a more laid back fashion all in all the GS850G Has proved to be a long running and bullet proof tour.I looked on the tag plate on the neck of my motorcycle and it has GS850G then baside it is a box that has a Z in it .
