Vehicle Detail
Offering for sale is my well maintained 1993 Lotus Esprit in Calypso Red with Camel interior. 51k miles. I have kept this in very good condition with plenty of Lotus upgrades to keep it happy. I have owned it for the last eight years and have not been driving it for as much as I would want due to my knee injury. With hesitation I have finally decided that it is time for another enthusiast to have the chance and enjoy this well sorted out Lotus Esprit. These were the most recent service done not more than six months ago. And the list of some upgrades. Timing belt and bearing replaced. Water pump rebuilt. Green dot pulley on intake camshaft. New primary and secondary injectors from Five-O. New high tension (Magnecor) wires. New MSD ignition coils. Upgrade to electric (Bosch) charge cooler pump. Clean and flush charge cooler system. New spark plugs, oil and air filter. Upgrade to stainless steel braided vacuum hoses. New fuel pump and filter. New catalytic converter. New oxygen sensor. (Bosch) Cleaned and re-cored radiator. Complete flush of cooling system. New coolant hoses. New alternator upgrade. (Bosch) New battery. (Bosch) Upgrade to front Brembo calipers from S4s. New front brake rotors and pads. Rear Wilwood brake calipers. Flushed brake system with new fluid. Front and rear stainless steel braided brake hoses. Clutch hose replaced with stainless steel braided. Custom stainless steel exhaust system. New rear axle seals. New rear shocks. Newly rebuilt steering rack. New tie rod ends. New speedometer installed due to bouncing needle syndrome. Rebuilt headlamp motors. Upgrade to projector headlamps. HID upgrade for low beams. Carbon fiber front lip. Carbon fiber rear diffuser. (included) Upgraded S4s interior. Recaro front seats. Lotus Elise steering wheel upgrade. New Lotus floor mats. Lotus aluminum pedals, gear knob, shifter surround, e-brake handle. Upgrade to stainless steel mesh front grille. Upgrade to 2002 round brake lights. Lotus LED brake lamps. GT3 type rear transom spoiler. Custom clear front LED signal lens. HKS blow off valve. 330hp S4s MkV chip. Etc. On Jan-05-14 at 02:54:39 PST, seller added the following information: Everything works the way it should. The AC blows cold air and the heater works as well. Both the power windows works fine. I replaced the driver side power motor a year ago thinking it was the problem but turned out to be just the window switch. The left and right headlamp motors are also known to prematurely go bad so I replaced them both with Original Lotus parts as well. All the bulbs inside the instrument binnacle and gauges have all been replaced together with a new dimmer rheostat and flasher relay. A brand new Oem Lotus speedometer gauge was also installed since the old one had the jumping needle syndrome. The binnacle cover was wrapped in Alcantara leather and complimented with the carbon fiber gauge surround. Also replaced the rear latch cables only as a preventive maintenance. Both fuel flap release solenoids are also new only because I happen to have the parts in my "Lotus" bin. The engine starts instantly and idles within specification. It still has the working EBPV valve and the idle control valve as well. Upon startup it will maintain at 1500 rpm for a time period and will stabilize to a tad over 1000 rpm. At this time the exhaust back pressure valve will start to open to produce that high standard melodic sound that it deserves. As you can tell, I have loved this Lotus with passion. I am not selling because of defect nor lost my interest or in financial despair. But rather to pass on and have someone enjoy the driving pleasure it has to offer.
