Beautiful Classic 1980 Toyota 4X4 with only 143,000 miles! I recently got this vehicle from the original owner, an older, ex-military gentleman who took very good care of this truck since new. For most of it's life it has been a second car, hence the low miles. He made some tasteful modifications...He was a large guy and didn't like his leg always hitting the window crank, so he had electric windows installed, along with a custom tweed interior and an 80's era high end stereo system including a Sony cassette head unit, Coustic 7 band EQ, a multi-channel amp (under the seat, not sure of the brand), Infinity speakers with separate tweeters and a Kicker 8" subwoofer.At the same time he had electric door locks installed with a remote, and in place of an alarm, he had a 10 second delay kill switch hidden in the truck. There is some surface rust on the bottom of the passenger door as well as minor bubbling near the trim on the left side of the bed. No rust under the bed or behind the wheels that I can find. The bed is in really good shape. Overall the paint looks nice enough to get compliments but not too nice to use this truck as it was intended to be used. I've tried to take as many pictures as possible to take any guess work out of placing a bid. This truck is very, very nice with only the flaws I've listed. All exterior lights and signals work and have clear plastics. Headlights were recently replaced and upgraded. Interior:The interior is beautiful, headliner is near perfect, even the visors and rear view mirror look brand new. Dash is free from cracks. He had a custom dash cover made to match the interior, from the same material, but it is now sun faded. He didn't want to put adhesive on the dash to hold it in place, so it slides of regularly, but he continued to use it to protect the dash. He also had a custom made reflective visor that fits perfectly. Both will go with the truck. The bench seat has wear on it, but no rips or tears. Rubber flooring was installed to winterize the truck, as well as rubber floor mats! Rubber stacked on rubber! Snow on your boots? Don't even worry about it! All gauges work correctly except for the fuel gauge, it does not work at all, he just watched his mileage and filled up accordingly. Drivetrain:Drive shafts have zerk fittings and were greased and maintained.At one point the transfer case had a leak and the rear seal was replaced. It has not dripped any fluid in the two months I have had it, but there is a minor amount of fluid collecting on the transfer case, so may have some seepage, but no dripping. Otherwise everything else looks to be leak free.Starts, drives and stops as it should4 wheel drive engages in both low and high as it should.I would expect this truck to outlive me or whoever buys it. Previous owner kept a box of spare parts, all OE, including spark plugs, oil filter, fuel filter, all turn signal and markers and a full service manual, that will go with the truck.
