Vehicle Detail
Hello and thanks for checking out the auction for my 1988 Suzuki Samurai JX hard top with 64,000 miles. The car runs great and has a SPOA lift and sits on 29 inch BFG Mud Terrains that are practically new (over 90%) tread remaining. The car has a Weber Carb and Thorley Headers, otherwise, engine is stock. With the cold weather setting in, it is idling a little low, so a carb adjustment may be in order. The car drives straight and body has no dents, just some scratches and evidence of its previous color, which was teal. Rockers are covered in powder coated black diamond plating. This samurai is 99% rust free with the exception of a bubble under the windshield and a spot on the frame. There are a few surface rust spots on hinges and the rear door. A rear-mounted, full-size spare is included with this sale. The seats were taken from another SUV and are pretty comfortable. They show wear but have no tears or stains. The car has brand new just installed carpet to quiet the ride and dress it up a little. Under the carpet front to back is POR coated and there is no rust. Lots of new OEM parts like radio box (no radio), antenna, and lighted analog clock. The transfer case and front hubs were just rebuilt (I have receipts) and the 4WD works excellent. No cracks in the dash and the rear seat is original and in decent condition. Headliner and windows are all in good shape. The car has blue HID headlights and a front brush bar. I'm guessing in its previous life the car was a tow-behind. The rear blinkers blink fast when your foot is on the brake, so there may be a short somewhere in the wiring. The title is clear and in my name. The speedo reads 64,000 miles, but the title reads 68,300. I cannot explain away that discrepancy. I have squared of the bolts that hold the doors on to make them easily removable. I have tried to list everything relevant to this auction. please feel free to ask me any questions. This rust-free example needs nothing but a new owner to be a rugged daily driver. Winning bidder must pick up car in north jersey, cash payment required to complete transaction.
