Vehicle Detail

1967 Chevrolet Impala SS convertible in rusty but restorable condition. This has a 275 hp 327 with correct letter codes and a Turbo 400 automatic trans. The car has a floor shift, power steering, power brakes, correct bucket seats and console (pretty good condition, but usual cracks), tilt column, factory bumper guards front and back, and Caprice-style "lantern" lights. It runs and drives but the engine is tired, although it does not knock. The brakes work, but poorly. This car needs a full restoration. The frame is very rusty, but you get a spare rolling chassis with the deal. The car needs a new trunk floor (was replaced once before, badly, with galvanized steel), floor pans, and quarter panels (patched before, but the patches rusted through) because it spent time in a Midwestern state with road salt. The body is pretty darn straight; the grille and bumpers are straight, though the bumper chrome is dingy. The engine has factory dual exhausts. The dash is stock and unmolested. The interior has been baked by the sun. The convertible top system is all intact and the top is not ripped. This car has a clear title. It has serious problems, but it is what it is and loaded with potential. It needs a lot of work, but the right person with the right skills could make a showpiece out of this classic drop top. Not too many of them around in such original condition. The pictures tell the story. This is for local pickup or transport; how it leaves is up to the buyer. I can facilitate loading (I have a rollback truck and a forklift). I require a deposit of $1,250.00 within 24 hours of close of auction, and total payment within 7 days. If you can't pick the car up immediately, I can store it for up to a month at no charge. I'm negotiable on storage, so talk to me if you win the auction.I'm RE-LISTING this car as the previous buyer had NO MONEY and NO FEEDBACK!! I now understand why some sellers refuse to deal with people with low feedback numbers. They have nothing to lose!!!
