This 1962 Porsche is in good original condition. The last owner bought the car in 1972 and has insisted that the car maintain as much of its original condition as possible over the years. As a result the original well worn interior is still in the car and at least 40 or 50 % of the paint is original. The mileage is believed to be the correct original mileage. The former owner was an active member of the Saint Louis Porsche Club and the local 356 Registry until failing health caused him to cut back on his activities. The car has been parked in his garage for the last 4 or five years. The engine was rebuilt before he parked the car and it still runs strongly. It is believed by his family to retain the original engine and transmission. A certificate of authenticity has been ordered to confirm this. The car retains its original floor pans and diagonals in excellent condition as the result of limited driving in the rain and Wintertime. Please contact me if you have any questions. The car comes with its original owners manual, original jack and a sadly depleted tool kit with only 3 original tools. The four wheels are made by the same manufacturer and 4 are date stamped 12/61 and one is stamped 11/61. The widow of the owner believes they are the wheels which came with the car and since the car was completed late in 1961 this is probably correct. More picture are available.
