Finished in Alpine white over black/blue, this 37 year-old last-year California blue license plate classic double 02 features a good running 2.0 liter four cylinder engine mated to a 4 speed manual transmission, 13" Alpina-style 320i alloy wheels with newer tires, factory radio and clean California title. While the five-digit odometer shows just over 59,000 miles the actual mileage of this car is unknown. The now white paint was redone at some point [over the original silver color]. It would describe it as a presentable "10-footer" with various nicks, scratches, touched up spots, and other miscellaneous blemishes. The good news is that this car is 99% rust-free with excellent solid shock towers front and rear and floorboards. The wheels could use a refinishing and new roundel center caps with the tires being close to brand new. Please know that this is NOT a concourse-ready show car but a decent looking driver and/or a good solid foundation to restore. THE INTERIOR The interior of this 2002 is in fair to good condition overall! It sports beautiful original uncut door panels, 320i black front and rear seats in good condition, nice headliner, some heat cracking on the dash, faded original carpeting and nice original woodgrain-look trim on the instrument cluster. The radio and heater fan are inop, the blinkers, horn and lights all work well. THE DRIVING EXPERIENCE This classic BMW starts, runs and drives decent but far from perfectly. With barely triple-digit horsepower on tap, it certainly will not keep up with a new M3 though revs fairly smoothly and willingly with good shifting transmission, solid braking with good pedal feel, decent though slightly creaky suspension, good steering feel, quiet exhaust and nice open airy cockpit.
