"This auction is for a nice 1954 Chevy which was originally a Southern car and was brought to Maine by a Serviceman many years ago. The engine starts right up and runs very well. Many parts have been replaced on this original fun to own and drive car. It has among other things, new tires, new exhaust system, good brakes, new battery, new voltage regulator, new belts, new radiator, new hoses, all new wiring, new seat covers, and new rugs. The glass is nice, but there is one crack in the left rear small window. The problem with this car is that there is something wrong with the transmission and I am not a mechanic and cannot afford to fix it. New Master Cylinder and Wheel Cylinders. No Radio or Heater. No RUST Has Undercoating. New Battery Cables. The vehicle goes forward in PARK and in NEUTRAL as well as in Drive. NO RUST/UNDERCOATED DO NOT BID UNLESS YOU WANT TO BUY IT. CAR SUBJECT TO PRIOR SALE AS LISTED ELSEWHERE. I was told by an old time transmission guy that it may have a "melted clutch plate in the transmission."
