This is a 1947 Studebaker Champion Coupe located in Greeley, Pennsylvania, 18425. Offered with No Reserve This is a perfect gasser candidate. Presently, it is in an un-restored condition, though it is a perfect example of automotive history awaiting it's share of work. It still has the inline six cylinder engine and three speed manual transmission. It is the first year for this body style, though the nose and trunk lid interchange with the more attractive, more popular 1950-51 style. However, it does have the rarer two-pane small back window; This is the one best suited for making a solid race car. The body and chassis are very solid, though there are a few problem areas in the trunk that I tried to photograph to best show their condition - No rust on the outer body. It comes with some glass, and some interior pieces, such as the dashboard, gauges, steering wheel, seat frames and springs, and other parts pictured. It does not currently run or drive, or stop. I quickly researched a bit, and found that there were only about 8,600 produced, as far as I know. But, at some point in the last sixty years or so, someone has added a back seat.
