For sale... is my very nice low time 1997 Suzuki RM250. I am the second owner of this bike. and as you can see neither of us rode it much. This is your chance to buy a almost new 16 year old dirt bike that looks like and runs better than new condition. I have rode it only a handful of times, and recently did the bikes first top end. I used NOS Suzuki piston, rings, wristpin, bearing and clips. The power valve assembly was cleaned and all put back together. The bike has only been started and rode down the street since then. After the new top end, a NEW FMF "FATTY" pipe was installed with a matching FMF silencer. The shock was sent out to TCS Suspension and a New seal head, bump stop, oil and nitrogen were replaced. While the rear shock was being serviced, I cleaned and greased, ALL the shock linkage and the swingarm bearings with Mobile 1 Grease. They were of course in like new condition, but ready for some new grease. The NEW Top end, Exhaust and shock have ZERO time on them! The front tire is NEW with no rides, the rear tire has 2 rides by a old guy and is still like new condition. A new chain was installed at the same time as the rear tire and also has 2 ride on it. The seat has NO rips or tears, the motor has no damage or broken cases, and runs and shifts like new! The plastic is original 16 year old plastic and shows little wear, The original warning decals are still on the rear fender. The original owner was a Jeremy McGrath nut and swapped out the conventional front end for a upside down SHOWA fork front end like McGrath did on his works Suzuki RM250 at the time. It does make the bike look better and the forks work great. The bike has Renthal bars too! The radiators and not damaged, bent, or crushed, because this bike has never been crashed! There is a small scrap on the gas tank from when the bike did a slow motion fall from the bike stand when the shock was off being serviced. (Murphy's Law!) That is the closest you could say the bike has been to a crash? I hate to get rid of her, and never thought I would but I found a almost new 2007 RM250 and this one has to go. There is no reserve on this bike, so the price you bid is the price you will get it for. If you always wanted one of these great Roger DeCoster designed bikes this is your chance to get one of the nicest ones I have ever seen. Or if you are tired of that four stroke eating you out of house and home and want to cut, thrust and blast around on a MX track on a 2 Stroke with little or no cost This is the bike for you. ADDITION...I just added a picture I ran across when I took the cylinder head off during the top end rebuild. What you see is the very little use and clean running of the engine. The cylinder head wiped clean with WD40 and a rag. The piston was still like new but since I had already ordered and received the new piston I installed it anyway. The bike IS well cared for and now you can see the history of the motor. The Bike has a CLEAR & Clean Arizona title, it fires right up and runs great.
