I am starting from $1.00, I have a low reserve and look forward to someone giving this GTO a good new home! 1965 PONTIAC GTO CONVERTIBLE: Montero Red with Black leather interior, Black carpet with a Black convertible top. This numbers matching car is fitted with a 389ci V-8 engine with a Hurst 4-speed transmission. Factory options include Power Brakes, Power Steering, & Power Top.This GTO is a California car that was originally delivered with a white convertible top and was recently replaced with a new black top which reallygoes well with the original paint and new black interior. The previous owner states that he believes it was converted to tri-power carburetion at the dealer when new, as was done often in those years, although the PHS documentation shows this car as being delivered as a 4 bbl. The car was recently fitted with a stainless steel exhaust as well as new air shocks, wheels & tires.Interior was recently restored, lots of receipts documenting the mechanical and cosmetic work performed to the car over the years including the most recent restoration of the GTO Gauges, the Dash Bezel, the 4-Speed Console, as well as the original steering wheel replaced with GTO period correct wood wheel (factory provided steering wheel comes with car). Just a bit of background on this GTO... I purchased the car about one year ago to fullfill my father in laws rekindling of his past GTO ownerhip in 1966. We have enjoyed it through one season, it has been serviced and treated us extremely well both on road trips and around town. He is getting older and no longer enjoyed the 4-speed and I have enough automobiles in my collection and need another one like a hole in the head. It is not a show car, but it is not a rusty heap by any means! This is an excellent, straight, no nonsense GTO that is solid, never rusted or having had rust repair. The cosmetcis are excellent and the interior and top have been completely redone. The gauges have been redone, it has been sympathetically restored, when and where needed by all of its owners from new to keep in its current, excellent and ready to use condition. It has been serviced properly, has a stainless steel exhaust and new wheels and tires that I installed this past year and complete history. The cosmetcis are excellent and the interior and top have been completely redone. The gauges have been redone, it has been sympathetically restored, when and where needed by all of its owners from new to keep in its current, excellent and ready to use condition. It has been serviced properly, has a stainless steel exhaust and new wheels and tires that I installed this past year and complete history.
