Estate sale of a classic 1969 Plymouth Road Runner "Matching Numbers". This beautiful example is being offered up for auction due to the owner passing away. A good friend of mine asked me to help find a new home for his brother in law's treasured Green/Green 1969 "383" Plymouth Road Runner. Vehicle id# RM23H9G284542 Fender/Trim Tag: V1F V21 V7W END C16 C55 J25 M21 N96 R11 F5 F5 M6G F8 09 411779 E63 D32 RM23 H9G 284542 Engine: 383 - 4bbl - V8 (Correct Matching #'s) Transmission: Torqueflite 3 Speed Automatic w/rare center console option. Options: Air Grabber Hood, Power Steering, Bucket Seats w/console, Vinyl Roof, AM Radio (included but not installed), Tinted Windshield & Magnum Wheels. The owner of this beautiful example was a true lifelong "Mopar Enthusiast" and looked long and hard to find the "right" car. Money was no object during his quest, and this "Matching Numbers" 383 is what he brought home. Always covered in the garage and only taken out on sunny weekends. The owner was a fanatic about how he cared for the Plymouth and truly kept it spotless. Records indicate that only 2500 miles were driven over the last 7 years although it has always been registered and properly insured with classic car insurance due to it's value. As stated, it is a turn-key example that will make an excellent investment for the future owner while driving and enjoying it. The folder of records included the original factory build sheet as well as 3 professional appraisals. The first appraisal is from July 2001 - value was stated as: $20,000 - $21,000 The second appraisal is from November 2005 - $26,000 - $27,000 The third appraisal is from October 2007 - $38000.00 These appraisals will be included. BODY: As the pictures show, the body is in excellent plus condition. The body is extremely straight and shows no evidence of body rust. The paint finish is excellent with a some minor imperfections that one would expect from and older restored example. Bumpers are in excellent condition with near perfect chrome. The factory vinyl roof is in very nice condition with no evidence of any rust issues underneath. The undercarriage appears to be all original with no rust issues as the pictures depict. It all looks correct underneath. Trunk is very nice as well. All lenses and trim in very nice condition. Has Air Grabber Hood option. The decals look near new. Interior: The "Green" Interior is in near mint condition with no rips tears or signs of wear. Has bucket seats with rare center console option. The headliner is in excellent condition. Has newer radio installed, however the original factory AM radio is included. The original headrests are included as well. Has special "Road Runner" Floor mats. Engine: Mechanically the Road Runner is in excellent condition. The engine runs smoothly with no strange noises. Brakes and exhaust are fine. The engine is dry with no oil or coolant leaks. The engine compartment looks all stock except for the air cleaner and distributor/coil. There is a spot under the hood where the repaint peeled a little bit showing the original under hood paint - minor detail, but worth mentioning. Has correct fender/build tag. One of the appraisals states that the Transmission is in good mechanical condition. Has correct Magnum 500 Rally Wheels which are all in excellent condition. The Road Runner must be sold immediately due to impending loss of storage space - Low Reserve. The Road Runner is being sold in "as is" condition with no warranty expressed or implied.
