Vehicle Detail

I have to say, I hate to see her go, but she’s been an amazing truck! I am preparing to be re-stationed in the military, and I’m selling most of my stuff and pretty much starting over when I get there –wherever there may be. This Wrangler is a 2008, and at the time of this listing she has just below 105,000 miles. As I mentioned above, I am in the military, and most of those miles have been on the highway, traveling from base to base or to visit my parents. They live about 500 miles from where I am currently. I have been meticulous about oil changes, I get them done early and I’ve been buying the high mileage oil since about 60k miles. The truck runs great, the AC runs great, everything about it is really great. When I got the oil changed last I was told I was about due for rear brakes. I have added a lot of things to this truck over the almost 5 years I’ve owned it. It has nice step rails (running boards), not the plastic ones that Jeep installs, but nice tubular ones. It has the tow package and the appropriate electric connection. It has a lock under the hood (with a key), so that the hood can be secured when you’re driving around or parked at the mall or whatever. There is a locking door that secures the gas cap, which can be left unlocked if it bothers you (I typically leave it unlocked). There are also locking lug nuts on each of the five wheels (including the one on the back gate). The Jeep has two 8” subwoofers under the driver and passenger seats for a little extra bass in the sound system. The four component speakers (two overhead and two built into the dash near the doors) are Rockford Fosgates and they sound really great. Also, the stereo has been changed, it’s a JVC, you can select all kinds of colors, etc. and it has Bluetooth built-in, so you can stream music from your Bluetooth phone straight to the stereo –on my Samsung the names of the songs show on the screen, and I think it may even be fancier if you have an iPhone (but I don’t). The stereo also has a USB port on the front as well as a headphone jack. The Jeep came with a soft top, but I later swapped it out for a hard top that I found on Craigslist, and it is really nice. You can take it off in parts, so that if you’re driving alone you can remove the driver panel, or you can remove both the driver and passenger panel without having to remove the big piece. I find this much more useful than struggling to move the soft top by myself. Also, pretty cool is that this Wrangler has the 3.8 liter V6, whereas, the newer Jeeps only have a 3.6, so there is a little more power under the hood! She has been an amazing truck, I bought her with about 15k miles on her at the time, and I have in all of that driving never had any serious problems, just normal maintenance. She continues to run great, the only thing I know of is the rear brakes (about $70). Normal 0 false false false EN-US X-NONE X-NONE
