This is a very nice example of a 1983 Datsun 280 ZX, the last year for this model. This 280 ZX has a t-top roof, power steering, power brakes, power windows, electric seat warmers, and air conditioning. It has been re-painted its original white color within the past two years and had a new $2,000 interior installed earlier this year. The car was equipped with cruise control, but it is not currently working. The car is in mechanically excellent condition; the 2.8 L, 6-cylinder motor is strong and the 5-speed transmission shifts smoothly. The disc brakes and rotors are good. The car is reliable and handles very well. Newer parts under the hood include a radiator, spark plugs, wires, distributor, coil, fuel filter, air filter, and alternator. The original shifter has been replaced by a short-throw. The front tires are new. The AC has been converted to R 134. The original stereo has been replaced with a new CD player with bluetooth and new speakers. The car's worst cosmetic problem is the hood has a couple of decent sized dings from a hail storm. The B pillar trim is missing on the passenger side, but would be easy to replace. There's a light remnant of a star chip that was filled on the windshield, but hasn't spread at all. There are other small, minor flaws here and there, but nothing major. This is not a show car, but is an extremely nice, extremely reliable driver. Just passed a TX safety inspection.
