Up for bidding is a very nice all original 1981 GS1100E ( build date 12-80). Engine is very clean with 16,800 original miles. No leaks,smoke or rattles of any kind. Amazingly tight. New items installed at 15K: Quality O-ring chain (sprockets are in great shape) Rear tire New battery Rectifier Valve adjustment and full tune up Adult owned, never abused and never down. Chrome is excellent, paint is still very nice and all plastics are sound. All electrics work as they should. There are a few imperfections that need to be addressed: the gas tank has a couple of small dents that are barely noticeable and the factory stripes are not perfect. The seat has two seams that are splitting and there is a small spot of cancer on left muffler(see pictures). I'm a collector in my 60's and (reluctantly) need to thin the herd. This bike is a very nice example of arguably the most well rounded muscle bike of it's era. You will not be disappointed as this fine machine runs, drives and shifts amazingly well.
