Vehicle Detail

I bought this 1992 Nighthawk back in 2004 as salvage; it had 35, 139 miles on it. The previous owner said it was stolen from him and later found run off the road. He was able to purchase it back from the insurance company. Minor parts were replaced. A small dent on top of gas tank. The engine and frame was not damaged. I ridden another 27, 328 miles with no problems. At this moment there are 62, 467 miles, which comes to 2,974 miles per year for past 21 years. It was my daily ride to work for years. Always garaged at home. I have kept records on the bike and a copy will be given to buyer if requested. All switches, speedometer and tachometer work. Oil and oil filter changed regularly. Recently October 2013 I bought a new battery and air filter. In April 2013, bought new tires. Also the front brakes serviced and new brake pads, oil and oil filter changed. In 2012 had all new cables put on (I didn't want to chance getting stranded anywhere.) Front fork seals and fork oil was replaced. In 2011 had new front and rear drive sprockets and new drive chain. In 2007 I added Kisan Tailblazer rear brake light flashers and they still work today. I replaced the rear turn signals with yellow LED lights but front turn signals are still stock bulb turn signals. The front left turn signal stem has crack but is held up well with duck tape and can go a long time without being replaced. The bike has been de-smogged. On the right-side side cover, I have attached a chrome skull. On the left side engine casing, I attached a skull also, but its scrapped because someone had once tried to steal it. I also drilled 4 holes in the rear of the exhaust pipes for a nice rumble sound and painted the rear exhaust port with red with heat-resistant paint for more visibility for car drivers following behind. Original tool kit and instruction booklet included. Clymer Service, Repair & Maintenance manual for the Honda CB750 Nighthawk and one bike cover included. Registered to October 2014. If you want a brand new looking bike, this bike is not for you. If you want a strong, dependable, low maintenance, gas saving bike (45mpg), this is it. She still looks very good for her age and miles with minimal body rust. It has hydraulic, valve adjusters for zero-maintenance valves. Electronic ignition means no fiddling with idle speed. Oil cooler. Cast aluminum wheels and exhaust is 4 into 2. After market black rear view mirrors. It has the kickstand cut-off switch: if the kickstand is down, the engine will stop if you try to take off. There are several chips in the paint in different places, small dent on top of gas tank, some rust on exhaust pipes. Scratches on exhaust pipes. The stock seat looks very good but has small tear on front part (see pic). The left side cover stem broke & I used JB Weld epoxy to reattach, and also put JB Weld epoxy to all stems on both side covers to strengthen them. This does not show on outside of side covers. There was a small oil leak on casing near clutch area, and JB Weld has fixed that, no leak for years (see pics). The headlight is not OEM. It is an halogen after market headlight; I'm not sure if it is a cars, but I like it because it sticks out about 1/2" front the headlight housing and gives it a cool look. The hand grips are ok but need replacing. Note- the small after-market LED battery gauge in the pics was removed. It was between the speedo and tach housing, near the yellow turn signal warning light. Also, shown in the pictures there were oval-shaped yellow LED side marker lights, located on the body panel, near the passenger seating area, which I had added myself. They have been removed. I am selling it because my mother has given me a used car for free, on the condition I sell the motorcycle. It is very difficult decision for me, but if you saw the beautiful car, I think you may understand. Please see my Ebay reputation and you can rest assured I am an honest person. So please give my bike a nice home. She will serve you well. A video will be out on Youtube on Friday Nov. 1st hopefully by noon. Lets see, Ebay wont let me post link in description. Well, if you''re interested in seeing a video of the bike, email me and I'll send you the link. If you live nearby, come on down and see, hear and feel the bike. I can give you a ride if you bring your helmet. Cant let you ride it unless you got the cash. On Nov-03-13 at 18:39:31 PST, seller added the following information:
