Im selling my 79 scout II, I hate to, but its time for something else. This is one of the straightest and cleanest scouts I have ever seen. The body is close to perfect with no heavy rust anywhere and only one small wrinkle in the lower left rear quarter and one on the front lower quarter panel, as you can see in the photos. The paint is good but has some blemishes that you can see in the pictures. This vehicle is mechanically solid, safe, and reliable. It is a great place to start if you want a cherry driver or a tough off road rig. Everything is there. The 345 under the hood is solid and runs smooth. Spread bore 4 barrel is pretty new and passed California emissions in 2010 when I bought it. Drives and shifts like new. Put in a new locker rear end about two years ago. sittin on Mickey Thompson 33's. The hard top is on it now, but it also comes with a full Best Top soft top. Interior, roll cage, and seats are all nice. The bucket seats come out of Toyota pickup, and the back seat is a reupholstered factory. The odometer reads 17,669 but Im not sure if its a rollover. Altogether, this is one of the cleanest scouts you will find that isn't a full frame restoration. this is one for the true international lover and I hope it goes to a good home.
