Vehicle Detail

Up for auction we have a 1959 Austin Healey "Bug Eye" sprite . This vehicle was purchased on eBay recently and described as a Barn find , it was intended to be restored and just used as a fun weekend driver which it is still capable of being used for however since being furloughed by our government my friend needs as much money as he can get back until things are back to normal , that said , please this is not a game , if you have the money and would like to have a fund weekend driver / project this may be worth a look , if you are not sure if your significant other would want you to own it please check first , I really want to get as much money as I can together to help him that said we would rather have a buyer that actually pays as well . To give you a run down on what we know about the car , it was purchased up in Ohio , garage kept , we were told that it may fire on ether . The car was transported back to Maryland and taken directly to a British car restorer to give it a look over and get it running , that was done , the work was stopped when the money stopped coming in and as there are no more paychecks for a few weeks at least the project had to stop. Scott our specialist did get the engine running , in fact he recorded it running to show it runs well and forwarded it to my text on my phone which if I figure out how to do it I guess I could try and forward it if anyone would like to see it , in his words the engine is tight , it has 60psi oil pressure at idle , it does not smoke and sounds great ,he did run it off an auxiliary fuel tank as he was not sure of the condition of the tank in the car , the car was described as having the tank cleaned out but we did not want to take a chance so it was run off the auxiliary tank instead . in our mechanics estimation the drivetrain appears to be in good shape , that being said he did not bleed the clutch or brakes yet .and the pedal is on the floor , I am assuming some seals will be required and "Moss" sells the kits for $16 per wheel .The front has rotors , I am not familiar with these so I am not sure if this is standard , I have the feeling they may have been added to upgrade the front brakes . Overall , I do not think this is a bad little car ,the interior will need doing as you can see from the pictures ,that said it is not too expensive to either replace 2 seats or get seat covers and some carpet , the carpet may clean up just fine as well . The car was purchased with a Notarized Bill of Sale and is being sold with a Notarized Bill of sale only , there are many title service companies that can get you a title if you require on for your state , please check .I was unable to state in the title section that there was not a title Please feel free to e-mail or call if you have any questions , if we do not answer leave a message and we will try to call you back on the same day .
