Vehicle Detail

Very solid Camaro (not SS, RS, or Z/28) in primer/sealer originally from S California and Arizona. In storage since 1993. 355 cuin 4 bbl w/ console shifted powerglide. Great car to turn into custom tourer or SS/Z-28 clone. Original owner since 1986. Solid car, needs restoration. Very little rust. Completely disassembled front subframe, painted, put in new ball joints, bushings, body mounts in '89. Roof has some repairable dents from a snow collapse, very easy fix. some minor rust on rear wheel lips, rear window valley, inside of rear floor pan. Header panel, deck lid, need repair or replacement. Interior needs some attention, carpet, driver seat upholstery, headliner, dash pad, etc. Has new NOS GM Z/28 cowl inducted hood. All original engine parts except heads. 350 bored .030 over, edelbrock performer cam, lifters, intake, holley 600, headers, power steering, manual drum brakes, 12 bolt rear. Alum slot mags. X44 chassis. Comes with stainless steel window trim, spare drivers door, rear patch panels, stock hood, carb, distributor, intake & exhaust manifolds. Buyer responsible for pick-up and/or shipping from current location. Reserve the right to end auction early as car is for sale locally. On Sep-22-13 at 11:21:20 PDT, seller added the following information: Was asked about condition of rockers and if car had much body filler: all panels will require attention before painting. Primer/sealer was shot on to seal car for storage in 1990 as I was changing bases to go overseas. Rockers are solid in and out. Hood is GM NOS, rt front fender was new GM in 1990, lt front fender was rust free used from Arizona with very small dent on top now (received during storage), both drivers doors have minimal rust but have filler on them, passenger door solid with minimal rust at panel seam on bottom, both quarters appear to have some filler at bottom behind wheel and along lip on right side (pictured) and both have minor dings. Was told by local body/paint guy roof is repairable w/o replacing metal but would replace deck lid.($150) Rear panel has visible filler by rt tail light and lower valance. Filler panel between deck lid and rear window has some rust holes at corners and up sides.(pictured) All panels are starting to show a little surface rust and most of which came from sitting outside for 3 months after barn collapse in '96. Priced an on-line camaro supplier like Steve's or Rick's for replacement metal for top, both full quarters, filler panel, back panel, and deck lid, and was around $1500. Anyone who knows about these 1st gens knows everything is readily available. Have been wanting to do myself for yrs but don't have the time or the place. Also: cowl tag reads TR 729 61 63 PNT 08C X44 This is original to body/shell. Engine/rear end numbers correlate to vin # current MN Title is registered in. Have tags and Arizona title as well from parts car used. On Oct-09-13 at 12:24:00 PDT, seller added the following information: Engine runs good, and car will drive, but gaskets and seals on tranny leak badly, and brakes have bled out before and would require going completely thru before considering road worthy.
