Here you go up for auction is this classic little Fiat X 1/9 Bertone. The vehicle is 37 years old but it is pretty nice considering it's age, does it have flaws? YES! Will it turn heads when your driving it around town or the better yet the river or beach? YOU BET! Will it win a car show this weekend? NO. Will you still turn heads at the car show? YES! THE GOOD...It runs GREAT and looks GOOD. The body is pretty straight except for the right rear quarter panel and the front of the hood need some attention, the paint is PATINA except for the right side it has been repainted at some point. The targa top is in good shape and the headliner is also pretty clean, the seats have been reupholstered from vinyl to cloth which is great in the summer and even better in the winter. Mechanically very sound the previous owner did a couple nice things for better riding comfort he installed an electric thermostat switch for those long drives to keep from overheating and he also installed an electric fuel pump switch for easy starting in the cold winters. Oh yeah the question of RUST as you can clearly see by the pictures this car is pretty much free of rust the only spot is under the hood and is an easy fix all other spots are limited to surface as you can see by the pictures. THE BAD... I would say it needs a complete paint job it has the original paint after 37 years it needs it. Needs the glove compartment cover also needs the hood and trunk latch release it is broken. OVERALL... This is a nice little car to start a collection or just a weekend project that will turn heads before and after completion. I do know this vehicle has had 2 previous owners and I have a clean California title. I have described this car the best I can and will answer any and all of your questions.
