Vehicle Detail
I have a project southern IROC Z Camaro body. The car is 95% rust free and very solid. The doors close properly and the T tops don't leak. The frame, floors, and undercarriage is completely solid with no rust. The only rust area is the spare tire well at the very bottom. It has been repainted at some point and is faded badly and has small dents especially on the hood. I bought this car in Birmingham, AL. and it wasn't described properly. The owner I bought it from said it only needed a distributor to run. The motor had spun a main bearing. I gave up on the car but my father-in-law decided that he wanted to fix it and had someone take the engine out and rebuild it. Here's where the fun begins!!! They took out the motor and threw away all the bolts. The computer and wiring harness seem to be complete. It has headers that bolt to the exhaust but someone eliminated the catalytic convertor. I have the transmission but can't guarantee it's condition. I have the crossmember and the driveshaft. The car came originally with a 350 tuned port engine and automatic transmission. He has spent nearly $3,000 rebuilding the engine. It is now a 383 stroker with ported and polished heads, 2.02 intake valves all completely balanced and blueprinted. I have all the receipts. It has 4 wheel disc brakes and most every option that came on a Camaro that year. The wheels are in good shape but the tires are junk. The carpet, dash, weather stripping, and headliner are trashed but the seats and other interior parts seem okay. I have a clear title in my name for this car. NO RESERVE AUCTION On Sep-09-13 at 05:11:29 PDT, seller added the following information: What inspired me to drag this car from the tarps in the back yard and post it was this listing...130972541045 Wake up.! This is real. Not a rebuilt title and rusty 305 carb IROC wanna be. I also reserve to end this auction at any time due to local sale. On Sep-28-13 at 07:20:07 PDT, seller added the following information: I added pictures of the engine. 383 steel stroker crank and flat top forged pistons. Stud bolts, roller tip rockers. Heads ported and polished and 2.02 intake and 1.88 exhaust valves. SFI flywheel and dampener. I guess I have my limit on pictures. I know that there is no distributor or mass air flow sensor. Have receipts for everything and it adds up to $2700.00
