Vehicle Detail

I have for sale my early model 1965 Mustang Coupe. I am the third owner of this Mustang and it has been well maintained and garage kept. It has a 289 4 barrel and it is matched with a C4 auto tranny. Exterior: This Mustang has the original color Wimbledon White and has been re-painted once in its life by the original owner. The paint is in great condition with minimal wear. The paint quality is high end driver quality. There is no repairs to the original sheet metal or to the body. No bondo, no rust, no replaced floors, etc. The engine bay and shock towers are in great shape with no damage. This vehicle was made in October 1964, based on the decoding of the original data plate pictured, and was made at the San Jose, CA plant. This is a true CA car, the original owner kept it in the state, and it has never left. The body is laser straight, the doors and trunk function well and have new weather stripping. The chrome on the emblems, bumpers, and accent pieces are in good condition with minimal wear. I would rate them at high driver quality. The white-wall tires are nearly new and have plenty of tread. The Mustang has a true dual exhaust setup with two Flowmaster mufflers and it sounds amazing! Mechanics: The suspension is solid and the steering is responsive for a manual steering car. The shocks are in good shape and feel tight. The original engine is with this car was a 2 barrel, however the previous owner did a performance swap and installed a Edelbrock 4 barrel carburetor and Edelbrock intake manifold. It also has an aftermarket air cleaner. The engine starts up just like a new car, and I regularly drive this vehicle. There is a larger aftermarket radiator and electric fan as well to assist in cooling the 289. The brakes function well and are in good order. The frame is straight as an arrow and has no damage from typical rust issues of Mustangs. The Mustang has the original C4 transmission and it shifts, smooth, crisp, and well for a auto transmission of this age. Interior: The interior is immaculate and well maintained! The headliner is perfect, a majority of the fixtures and finishes inside the Mustang are restored original parts or high end reproduction parts. The seats are in excellent condition and the upholstery has no damage or tears. The headliner, a notoriously bad point on Mustangs, is in excellent shape with no sagging, rips or tears. The carpet is in great condition and so are the floor mats. The chrome within the interior of the vehicle is in good driver condition. All the windows of the vehicle are original, and many feature wear and scratches that original windows would have, however they do not affect visibility or the integrity of the windows themselves. Who can say their Mustang has 50 year old windows!? There is vintage air conditioning and heating within the Mustang and the AC blows ice cold. There is an aftermarket CD/iPod radio installed along with aftermarket Sony speakers within the vehicle which work well. Title: The title is salvaged on this Mustang because it was stolen from the original owner in 1985. It was rapidly recovered, but in the state of California, any car that is stolen, regardless of age, condition or value, is automatically issued a salvage title. This Mustang has not been in any accident or salvaged for any other reason. Again, this Mustang is mechanically sound and has not been salvaged due to damage! I drive it on the highway and around town every weekend with no issues. This Mustang is selling with NO RESERVE! The highest bidder takes the car! This is a great high end driver vehicle, and is ideal to be driven as is, given as a gift, or used as a platform for a much higher end restoration. The only reason I am selling my Mustang is my restoration goals have headed into a different direction. The buyer is responsible for all shipping and fees associated with that. You are welcome to email me or call anytime for additional photographs or questions at (661) 912-2272 The buyer needs to deposit $500within 48 hours via PayPal, and the remainder of the balance I will accept cash, money order, or wire transfer. I am not a car dealer I am a private owner. I have the title in my name for the Mustang, but I will not offer any warranty, guarantee, or returns. THANK YOU!
