With 191,319 original miles on the working six-digit odometer, this 99.9% rust-free California car [with original license plates] this classic BMW sport coupe sold for about $46,000 new nearly thirty years ago! THE BODY AND TRIM The exterior of this car is in "decent" nearly 100% rust-free condition overall. It is most definitely NOT a concourse ready example [the red M6 I am showing though would fare well at any local classic car show]. It does have the 15" BMW mesh wheels with excellent rubber for a lower price, factory spoiler which is pretty beat up. The body is pretty straight showing some repainted areas, fading, nicks and other miscellaneous blemishes. Overall this is a fairly presentable "ten-footer" shark! THE INTERIOR As I hope is articulated in the photos here, the interior of this car is in FAIR quite original condition with the desireable sport seats. The gauges, odometer, lights, heater, windows, sunroof, blinkers and horn all work well. Imperfections include: missing radio faceplate, dash cracks, A/C not blowing cold, recline on driver seat inop, rear deck speaker covers warped. THE DRIVING EXPERIENCE This classic 6er shark starts, runs and drives well! The acceleration is good with an extra exhaust snarl from the missing muffler tips, the transmission up & down shifts perfectly, the brakes stop very well with good pedal feel. The car rides and handles well with the lowered suspension and cruises nicely on the highway at just over 2,000 rpms at 70 miles per hour. This is still a quite satisfying car to drive down the open road!
