Vehicle Detail

1990 Ford Mustang LX Limited Edition Convertible (aka 7-UP Edition) 25th Anniversary model year of the Mustang 5.0 (302 V8) with 5-SPEED NO RESERVE!!!!! DON'T LET THIS 1 GET AWAY!!!! The '90 Mustang Limited Edition convertibles are called "7-Up cars" today because the program came out of 7-Up's canceled Mustang give-away contest Ford planned to build 5,000 Limited Edition convertibles for '90; only 4,103 were produced All Limited Edition convertibles were LX models with 5.0L engine, Emerald Green Clearcoat Metallic paint, white leather interior, white top, handling suspension, and power accessories OF THE 4,103 Produced: 2,743 had automatic overdrive (common) and only 1,360 came with the five-speed manual (rare) 261 were exported This car is a true time capsule from Southern California! This car comes from a 1 OWNER, who was a women, that has given this car a fantastic life. She garaged it when not using on the weekends and keep documented maintenance records on this 99% original car. The only thing she changed out was the stereo sound system with an Alpine CD player, Amp and speakers. She even kept the the "Ford Factory Speakers and Radio" which come with the purchase of this car. Let me explain just how original the car is. The motor has NEVER had any performance modifications! The spark plug wires are dated 1990 from Ford. The original Catalytic Convertors and mufflers are still on the car and recently passed a strick CA Smog Test. The Convertible Top is still original and in beautiful condition, with no fading or cracking. The headlights, marker lights, and rear tail lights all have Ford OEM numbers, no reproduction replacements. The interior is 100% original with no reproduction pieces. LOOK AT THE FRONT SEATS in the posted picks NO CRACKING OR TEARS. All windows, power door locks, lights, switches and the the convertible top button all work. SINCE THIS CAR IS A SOUTHERN CALIFORNIA CAR, THERE IS ZERO RUST or ROT! I have struggled, since acquiring this car, as to what I should do about restoring it to becoming a 100 point car show car with new paint or just leaving it the way it is. My dilemma is that The hood, trunk and doors quarter panels and fenders look Excellent, and to me, feels like it would be a sin to repaint it. Just look how nice the paint really is in the posted pics. Check out the reflections in the paint of objects around the car. What would make this car a 100 point car is that the Front and Rear Fascia as well as the mirrors should to be repainted. Don't get me wrong. It still looks good, but to get to the next level you really need to fix the light hazing effect of clear coat failure that has occurred over the past 25 years. This notorious issue has happened with many fox body mustangs over time due to Ford's not so perfected clear coating method over flexible rubberized plastics of the late 1980s and early 1990s. So I hope this clarifies my reluctance on the paint issue, because I though "some collectors" might want to repaint the whole car at the same time. If you would like me to repaint these items to match, I can do that for an extra $750. Just let me know. Other then that, the only other minor flaws to a 25 year old car that is driven on the road and they are as follows: 1 smooth scratch on the hood, 1 rock ding on the passenger fender lip. That's about it. Here is your chance to buy a currently"affordable" part of FORD MUSTANG HISTORY. Do it before the MUSTANG's 50th ANNIVERSARY Celebration all next year. After all, it doesn't get any better then having a milestone 25th ANNIVERSARY LIMITED EDITION LX to be part of the celebration in. If you have any questions please feel free to contact me. This car can be seen in person by appointment in Beaumont, CALIFORNIA. Call me, Andy (951) 755-7081 We do reserve the right to end this auction early because it is listed elsewhere for sale.
