Vehicle Detail

2004 VW Passat TDi GLS Wagon with 109,500 miles. Full GLS trim in Stone gray metallic exterior with black leather interior and wood trim and sunroof. This wagon has the awesome Turbo Diesel performance and outstanding fuel efficiency that made this car a favorite with reviewers when it first came to the market. And, the overall reliability and sustained performance make it a favorite today! Equipment and Options: Tinted windows, 4 wheel disk brakes ABS and ESP traction control, 2 front airbags, 2 side seat airbags, 2 roof airbags, power lock, mirrors, windows, leather seats, front heated seats, Monsoon Audio system, CD/Radio Cassette, roof rack, sunroof, fog lamps and rear wiper. In addition, this vehicle will come with a Thule pod. The Thule is great storage for extra luggage, skis, snowboards, and camping gear. This wagon features a longitudinal drive train, four-link front suspension stabilizer bar and torsion bar on the rear. The setup provides the car with improved handling dynamics that help it stay flat on cornering and stable at high speeds. What this means is, great in town and great on the highway. The other aspect that we really enjoyed is how great the car performs on snow and ice. Each year, we put on snow tires and we just cruised the winter here in Connecticut. Snow tires are included! Powertrain: 2.0 liter 4 cylinder turbo diesel direct injected intercooled PD injection system, 135hp and 250 ft/lb torque. 5-speed automatic, triptronic transmission. Fuel Economy: 25-32 city, 34-42 highway. This wagon has a powerful engine and with the diesel producing lots of torque, the feel compares to that of a small V8 engine. Condition: The paint is original and there are some dings and scrapes across this car. And unfortunately, the car sustained damage when backed up into a tree in the yard. This caused some superficial damage to the bumper, taillight and rear hatch area. The molding is also damaged from scraping against a rock. These cosmetic issues are easily fixed by a body shop. There is some dog hair in the rear carpet and some dirt in the drivers side mat. Leather seats are in average condition. Show signs of wear but there are no tears or serious cracking. The door panels are in good condition. Some wear on the pull handles. The headliner has some dirt marks but is also in overall good condition with no tears or damage. Engine starts right up, transmission shifts smooth, the ride is very comfortable. AC works and produces cold air. 100K maintenance service was completed and about 3,000 miles have been put on the car since the service. The 100k service included a new timing belt (done by VW dealer), water pump, new drive belts, new engine mounts, fluids, oil and filters, brakes, and so on. In total, we spent $4,500 getting everything set for future years. Tires will need to be replaced. Snow tires are good for one more season. Thule Pod is included if the buyer decides to take it. We are sad to have to sell this great car because it has another 100K left in it. We put lots money into the mechanicals thinking we were going to keep it. But high school sports and the carpooling forced us to get a 7-seater. Unfortunately we can’t justify keeping the car around. If you have any questions, I am happy to answer.
