This is a cream puff 1985 Renault Encore. Bought new in 1985 by a couple and just used for groceries and in town runs. Less than 39,000 original miles! Just smogged and registered in California two weeks ago. It features a 1.4L engine that gets good gas mileage paired with a three speed transmission. Front wheel drive, tires are in great shape, tread appears new. brakes are great. car runs and drives very smoothly. Since I have had it I have replaced the radiator, hoses, thermostat, spark plugs, changed the oil and transmission fluid, made sure the optima battery is good, replaced all four shocks, replaced wiper blades, replaced rear door shocks, etc. The only thing I have found wrong with this beauty is that the speedometer runs 10mph slower than it should, an easy fix, and it needs a new headliner. The backing is there but the material was disentegrated so I peeled it all off. Great deal on a very low mileage and uncommon car. Willing to drive it anywhere for a price.
