1978 Ford F-150 Custom Southern Truck with original build sheet from Kansas City, MO plant delivered to somewhere in Texas and I found the truck in Georgia. I bought the truck along with another vehicle with the intent of hauling the other vehicle up from Georgia to Michigan, however, I found a truck that would haul both for less money. Th e truck was in pretty good shape, but needed some attention as I drove it daily on my 10 mile back road commute to work. One day the original 351M decided it had enough, and I was faced with the decision to rebuild or find a crate motor. While looking at options, I found a completely professionally built Ford 400 CID engine in upper MI and purchased for installation. The engine was originally from a 1970's Bronco and was upgraded with the following internal engine components:Roller tip rocker arms, dual valve springs, screw in rocker studs with hardened push-rods and guide plates, double roller timing chain and performance cam with .484/.510 lift, new oil pump with pick up and harmonic balancer. Then we added an Edelbrock Performer Aluminum intake manifold and Edelbrock Thunder Series 650 CFM 4 barrel carburetor with vacuum secondary and electric choke, Mallory Distributor, Ford Racing 8mm spark plug wires, Ford Racing Aluminum Valve Covers, and Edelbrock Air filter with hi flow washable filter. A new oil pan and gasket set was added and the engine was mated to a new TCI Street Performer C-6 transmission. We added a new radiator, coolant tank, wiring, new hoses, battery, AC compressor (OEM rebuilt and converted to new refrigerant.) The truck received new brakes and brake lines with a new master cylinder and brake booster. Hooker Ceramic Coated Headers and new Flowmaster Dual Exhaust and chome quad outlet tips. All installation and upgrades were installed by Mazur Automotive a professional auto mechanical company.The interior received a new bench seat cover, floor pans, cabin insulation, and new automotive carpet as well as a new JVC CD/USB input stereo with new speakers under original interior door panels. We added new Ford Aluminum wheels from 1985-1996 2wd F-150 and new Firestone Indy 500 tires.The truck has had approximately 2000 miles since rebuild and 3 oil changes in that period and now it sits out front of our building with for sale signs on it because I have found a new project and lost the interest to finish this one. This truck needs a new paint job. It looks good from 15 feet but has imperfections and the paint oxidizes not long after a full rub out and wax job! The truck has a tonneau cover and spare tire in the bed. Please feel free to email if you have any specific questions or if you would like to test drive it. I did not paint the vehicle or do any body work, so I cannot accurate detail every imperfection prior to the paint job. The truck was restored from the powertrain outward to the interior and was designed to be a daily driver until I lost interest in the completion (which is body and paint work.) It's been very reliable and is very simple to work on as well as very accessible inside the engine compartment.
