This 1995 Bentley Continental R Coupe with Red Pearl Mica exterior paint and Parchment leather interior has just 41,460 miles on the 6.75L Turbo V8 Engine. I (Merrill) purchased this luxurious car in 2011 but I recently found a four door Bentley I've been searching for and I can't keep both. I decided that this coupe needs a new home and so I'm putting it up for auction on eBay to reach the largest potential audience. This stunning coach built by Bentley was delivered in early 1996 to the U.S. with its elegant Italian design, English coach built body with traditional English interior. Otherwise if you’re reading this listing you know the rest of the story. When ladies and gentlemen in the RROC speak of this series it’s always with compliments of late series coach built (really coach built) Bentleys. Service & Maintenance History: The $50 question on these cars "service, service, service". This car was owned by a gentleman in Boston that maintained the car to impeccable standards of Bentley Boston. Documented papers and its precise repairs exactly on time and seasonal requirements add up to $20,000+ to keep it this way. He also maintained it with winter and summer conditioned storage. This gentleman was so precise on his methods of care, that he was understandably upset when I suggested (after purchase) that I would drive the car home to Charleston.....and that it would get scratched or damaged while on the road! Now that is a precise owner. Photos will show the details, but the invoices will show the most important service. (view images of the invoices below in the photos). Over the past two years that I've owned the vehicle the car was seasonally serviced at the local agent with all new brakes, fluid changes, and the AC late last week. My agent installed an up to date CD player, blue tooth, hands free phone, and two speakers were replaced that were imperfect. I've kept my own set of service records as well, so you, the next owner will have a complete history. Cosmetic Condition: Since the car lived in a conditioned garage in Florida, the wood lightened, the drivers/passenger cap railings need to be refinished, and the passenger air bag door also should be refinished. To make it new, I would have Phil at Gold Coast refinish the entire set for factory finish and color. Otherwise, the car’s interior would be showroom. Period. I even had "summer mats" in seagrass and stitched in matching red color . There is a factory fresh set of lambswool overlays in the boot that are used only ever so often, and approach flawless. As for the body, there is a one inch blister in the boot lid rim edging the rubber trim where it characteristic keeps water. The rest of the body is as fine as a 19 year old car that has not been repainted. Otherwise it runs like a bat out of Crewe, and sexy beyond words. Comparable Cars: You don't see a lot of these '95 Continental R's at auction, but here are a couple recent listings I found. 40k Miles Sold for $68,200 at Barrett-Jackson in '09 81k miles Sold for £31,360 ($48,269) at H&H Classics in '12 Given these auctions plus what I have generally seen around, I feel my reserve is extremely fair on this car. I typically see them sell online for $36,000 to $80,000 and as a hint to you, my reserve is set a fair amount BELOW the lower figure.
