Vehicle Detail

Beautiful Patriot model Scout. Quite rare. The Patriot was only available in 1976 for the Bi-Centennial. Scout II, 345 V-8, 727 automatic transmission, power steering and brakes, Air conditioning. This Scout was purchased from Powell's International in the Phoenix area. It is in great shape and runs well. The odometer reads 30,164 so I assume it is 130K. It does not appear to be a high mileage vehicle. One thing that is awesome about the scout is the lack of rust. I have owned many scouts, and this is the cleanest one. Before it was painted, there was not a single bubble in the paint. Not in the rear wheel wells, the rocker panels or any where else. All the metal is original. Nothing has been cut out or replaced. This is truly an Arizona scout II.This Scout has been my daily driver for the last four years. I saw this Scout a few years before I bought it, and at that time it still had the original paint and stripes. The stripes were faded and cracked. The paint and stripes are newer now and in nice shape. Items replaced in the last year or so include, brake master cylinder/booster, starter, plugs, cap, rotor, rear main seal, valve cover& valley pan & cam shaft plate gaskets. . All fluids were renewed a couple months ago. The seats were recovered before I got it and are in good shape. The carpet and vinyl are original and in decent shape for the year. All the gauges work. The fuel gauge registers 3/4 when full. The interior is mostly original and in good shape. There are signs of ware but overall not bad for 37 years. The dash and dash pad are very clean and in great shape. All the glass is in good shape. The latch on the passenger side wind wing is missing and I installed a universal latch. There is a small 3/8" dent next to the right tail light. You can see it in the last photo.I would be willing to drive my scout anywhere. It runs well and has proven to be reliable. It tracks straight down the highway and is so easy to drive. You will get lots of looks, waves and thumbs ups as you drive down the highway in this beauty. Just ignore the person who occasionally says "nice Bronco"..... The buy it now price includes $500. toward shipping. Shipping to continental US. only.
