We purchased this car at sale in Columbia S.C. a few weeks back..I had one of these some time back that I sold on Ebay and that car got quite a bit of interest..It sold for around $12,000 ish or so...That car was near perfect with cloth interior and 30k miles..This one is in okay shape with super nice leather with 80k...I learned quite a bit about the last one so I knew what to look for and how to make it right ... This car is virtually rust free and really is in need of a good paint job as well as a few interior touch ups.. Other than that the car cranks on a dime and everything is as it should be under the hood... I was going to do a period correct urethane style paintjob since it's hard to find someone to do a lacquer job...But then I realized someone may want to do a base clear job and would have to remove what I just did...The body is perfect with zero damage anywhere on the car...Paint is just dry on the top and seems to have pretty decent luster on the sides...The stainless and chrome is in average condition overall to above average in some spots..There isn't any damage on any of the chrome... The vinyl roof is in okay shape, It isn't ripped or torn it is just in dry condition..It still has good color though..At the bottom left of the window under a piece of vinyl top molding is a little section of what looks like surface rust under it ...I have picked at the spot and there is solid metal under it..we will take a close up of the section The interior is in pretty decent shape. The leather in the front and back is absolutely perfect..The door panels on the left side have a few cracks on them(we will show close ups)..the right side is fine..The dash has a few cracks here and there but it's not that bad..The headliner is perfect and all of the trim is great also...All of the lights on the door panels and in the rear seating area work fine..Both of the power seats operate correctly, up, down, back , forward and tilt.. The clock even works fine and keeps good time..All of the windows work very smoothly and without issue...The A/C system works fine and is cold but every so often it will squeal...I noticed that the clutch seems to drag and the belt hangs up sometimes...We did a A/C vacuum down and recharge with fresh oil, It seemed better but we still are including a brand new A/C compressor with the sale of the car... Tires are in okay shape and they don't vibrate at any speed. The hubcaps are factory and are in great shape...The radio comes on and the relays activate but i can't see if the speakers are bad or just not hooked up.. The car cranks up as it should everytime for us and we have gone to lunch in it quite a few times...it does get quite a bit of attention when it has left our store...Since I have wanted to see what this car does on Ebay the car has been out back hidden and is not for sale...I also didn't want people who couldn't appreciate what it is kicking tires asking why it cost so much for an old car...This thing never smokes and has yet to skip a beat..It is very smooth when it goes throughout the gears ....Brakes seem fine and it stops predictably...The gas gauge works as it should and all of the warning lights come on when you crank the car and then go out as they should after a few seconds...All of the turn signals, brake lights and headlights work as they should... This car is not perfect but with a nice paintjob and a few interior cosmetics it will be a very nice car for someone..I think it's pretty cool the way it is already and I'm a car guy...
